I would rock it all the time
First, the modelling work is good, but it’s too detailed. Compared to the rest of the playermodel, the map you’re playing on, and most importantly the default shoes and older shoe cosmetics, it has too much going on for TF2.
Second, these are obviously meant to be Jordans, which only existed since the 80’s, but that could be brushed off as a nitpick.
Look at the Essential Accessories cosmetic: it is both modelled well for TF2 and accurate to what sneakers actually looked like in the 60’s.
Pyro? I guess, why not
But on soldier? No, that looks awful on him
No. One mistake doesn’t justify another, and it was a promotional cosmetic anyways, not one intended to be found everywhere.

Just because someone can make a beautiful neo-classical sculpture doesn't mean it will fit in a modern art gallery.
