Just a question to the creator: I know right now there is no mod support, but if I can quick fix it for specific characters I would like to just do it quick on my end. I see where you made the table to add characters to the list, however I have no idea how to reference other mods. Instead of full support for other mods, and if you know how, what would be an example of a reference to another modded player(Say for example; how would i reference Samael to add to the list in the lua)? Or is that something that would take another process. Sorry if you aren't willing to share this info as well, thought I would just ask.

In a positive note: Mod is working great! Thank you so much! I love randomly picking characters and It was so annoying how the game forces the game to start after picking the character, so I couldn't switch to another if I had already completed the character or am already burnt out on one.

ok, this is such a random nitpick, and i completely understand not fixing it (great mod btw, i use it so much!) but! if the random select picks a tainted character it doesn't actually change the thumbnail for the isaac window to tainted isaac, like it would for selecting a tainted character normally! (if you didn't know it did that, now you know!) :3

im having same invisible half soul heart problem and idk which mod it is colliding with. it tells in the console that it calls for a nil value (local player) at line 494 of main.lua

Nevermind Zerbi, managed to get it done now. A new setting in the mod manager menu should allow you to select to only care about normal marks instead of hard marks

Did you go through the entire Repentogon download process through its GitHub Damaton? And currently no, Zerbi, though its on the roadmap in the next couple of weeks when I find the time.

Is it possible to add an option to select between hard and normal mode?

Ah good to hear cman, was just about to send a message asking if anything appeared in console. Thanks for providing which mods it didn't work with, I'll have a look at their code to look for any conflicts.

(kate) thats strange, the invisible character means that a random character wasn't selected. If thats the case, that's really weird, because theres a failsafe in that case to default to Isaac. Anything appearing in the console? It flashes a warning if something goes wrong with getting a random char as well as a few other data points which can help. Off the top of my head, I'm unsure which mods it might collide with. If any, it would be one that might run something on the start of a run, but that shouldn't conflict in this way, so I'm unsure.

I figured out my issue! I unsubscribed to some mods to see if that would fix it and when I unsubscribed to the Saul Hearts mod and the Better Call Saul logo mod it fixed it lol

I just meant the mod won't boot for me and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I made sure I have REPENTOGON installed and it still won't work

it seems the mod conflicts with another one of mine... once i try starting up a run after pressing on the button, it spawns as an invisible character with half a soul heart.... any idea which mod might be conflicting?

Not working how? Is he never selected? If this is the case, then he may be disabled in your mod config menu, or he has no completion marks left to unlock for him. Hope this helps!

Yeah I'd always leave greedier 'till last on characters and then end up with a bunch with only that mark left so for the next few runs all i could do were greedier, so this method kinda helps cut down on that lol

yo the lowered chance for greedier is really nice, i usually find myself doing greedier last but if i roll it with this ? its a lot of fun

Small advice: I think you should remove the folder "workshop imgs" from your mod's folder (it is not useful for those who download the mod but it takes up 95% of the total size).

Oops yeah you're right on that one! Yeah most of the fun of Isaac for me is finishing completion marks so I've never really used the normal random mode cause it repeats characters I've already done and is different for normal/ tainted. Thank you!

spelt REPENTOGON wrong, but this is such a neat idea. having characters you've already completed be in the random character pool doesnt make much sense. super neat idea!
