Is there a chance to get a fully functional upgraded version of this put on the workshop so we can build it or spawn it to see what the upgrades are and where they go. I would absolutely love it to fly, give gravity, shield , defense and warp. I have tried 2 times to upgrade it, but I am having problems finding the actual name of thrusters to use. You list Large thruster but I find 2 versions with 2x4x2. I am not a builder just an inexperienced player.

@Brenold Blackmars You are remembering to remove the LCDs before placing as per instructions? I can confirm they fit fine if you've done that. Thrusters described as large should be advanced though.

Generators do not fit in the places that are assigned, same goes to warp drive... etc..

It's great ship.

There are few things I found during playing with it:
1) There are some exposed outside container extensions under the bridge area that need to be covered with steel.
2) And it's better to move forward repair bay placement the hangar bay.
3) Forward ramp is better to set on landing gears
4) For better first person view I've added one more glass line upper
5) Cargo boxes can be added on roof of hangar bay near walkway
6) There is also roof space for cargo boxes in engineering section
7) I made biggest radar placement on left side in front of rear nacelle
8) I never used space for smaller shield parts in hangar bay so I put additional small constructors there.
9) After adding fusion reactor you can put two medium shield parts into advanced generator placement

Jeff, I have over 2500 hours into EGS and this is by far one of my favorite ships. It has everything you need esp. since you can start with it as a base and built it as you can and desire. GREAT job on this.

@bourg a hydroponics bay requires a grow plot beneath it to work.

I spawned this on Akua and I'm trying to set up the garden. When I try to place a vegetable hydroponics bay I get the message "This plant cannot grow here". Any ideas how to fix this?

I've re-worked 3 RE1 Helios modules to work with this - garden, production and drill. I also re-worked the D2 dropship, but I think that only fits in the big bay on the Helios carrier.

@Fevix it means to go into signal logic and make sure the teleporter follows the "teleporter" signals. This will automatically turn the teleporter on + turn shields off when you step on it, then turn shields back on + turn teleporter off when you step off it.

Boy, what a nice ship. First off, I've taken the Makar across the verse on many a planet with little ground decorations sticking out all over the place and the Makar hasn't bugged out on the terrain unlike other carriers. It's been a very reliable ship in that regard. But it's also somewhat small for a carrier and able to get next to most POIs without much issue. It's very agile, once you fit a couple plasma thrusters on her, and doesn't use fuel once you get some turbines fitted. I found space for a large radar on the side, so no real issue with that. This ship is a really great balance of size, utility, and being able to take you from the early game and being useful once you hit core 9 and beyond. I hope we see more modules for the rear end. Releasing a "template" blank module that fits the Makar would be very welcomed so people can design storage modules, farms, new miners, combat ships, etc for the Makar.

Existing storage is not expanded to 640K. But you can add 2 new 640K controllers. Look for shutters in hangar.

I'm not a builder at all, anyone able to tell me exactly where the thruster go specifically, my mind cant seem to figure it out, with 14 large and 8 medium.

@Intermission all RE2 thrusters start ion and then upgradable inplace to plasma to antimatter.

You need Advanced thrusters, not large.

this isnt very clear, the thrusters, are these ion thrusters? the large ion thruster is a 1,3,1, the he has it listed as a 2,2,4?

@Intermission, yes, absolutely, you'll probably want to build a gravity generator asap though!

@Jrandall, when removing the extra block that's above the Basic Generator, in order to replace it with an improved one, the engineering section is no longer pressurized, as the ladder above it is not airtight. Is it designed to only hold a basic generator in that spot?

Actually @Xerkus if you deploy all the LCD lights there is space for another 1x3 generator for a total of 2 1x3s and 1 1x1 (named LCD info on the 3d column of P menu)

@jrandall for a full set of plasma thrusters Makar needs 2 advanced generators but it only got space for 1. Fusion is not really desirable early on because it is expensive and it got passive drain.

I modified mine to add space for a second generator right next to the first and moved pentaxid tank to the space where original basic generator was installed

awesome work. at first i hesitated to spawn it in since it needs a lot of iron and graphite for a starter CV (which can not even fly) but now i tried it. and i love it. upgraded it to core 9 by now and its a great exploration/mining CV

I'm enjoying your ship a lot. I need some help, though. Which 2 container controllers did you have in mind for the 640k expansion rooms? I've connected the "4" controller to the first room, but I can't seem to figure out how to connect the 2nd room to another controller without sacrificing either hydroponics slots or the exterior blocks. Some image to the location of where to remove a block to connect an expansion would be of great help.

hi jeff i realy like this ship but the facht that is bare bon for somone that is not a builder is realy a problem i ribuld it 10x alredy and stil forget some things now i can not find the spot for Spot light ....what i try to say PLEASE put a seqund version like cor5 dan cor 7 etc..please :D

Loving this carrier! Great mobile base getting me out of the starter system with my CV frigate and CV miner also SV fighter and SV miner and tons of supplies. Fits the RE2 changes beautifully!

About losing height when strafing left and right, I had that happen when testing this, but it was because I hadn't added any additional generators and it was overloading. After fixing that, it maintained height just fine.

Just want to add, this is an awesome and extremely detailed carrier structure that I'm definitely going to be using. Kudos! :steamthumbsup:

In it's current state, this has become one of my all-time favorite multi-purpose carriers. I love the initial cost and the fact that it acts as a base in T1. Tons of room for upgrades with room to spare (if you're willing to give up some hangar space). And well done on adding the additional sentries. I did notice that I had to place 2 of the aux in the shield/engineering room and I didn't see LCD markers for those. But other than that, I have no complaints/suggestions. Well done Jeff. :)

This works great in RE1, Just filled up the turbine locations with Solar (and add some more on the under side of the deck and the bottom), got a full 48 on it without much problem. Look forward to actually starting with it in RE2 later.
