Thanks everyone! all the comments here really made worth the wait. This was my contrest entry back on 2014 and I was quite proud of it. I hope TB eventually adds the sword too. More items are in the way, with better technical, artistic and design aspects

I for one love this set. And I'd love if it stayed mason, but hell I'd love to see it in game period. Mason IMO is lacking in practical helmet designs. Like previously said just a few fine details and coloring and I wholeheartly believe this could make it.

Thanks for the feedback guys I do appreciate it, it's just that I've been out of focus lately and had to switch prioritys on other projects. Giving a fresh look to the item will maybe drag more attention and it's something I will considere doing soon

also +1 to make a short video,even if its against bots, using your weapon is for the first time is great fun. Even since TB gave us the mod to do so,i have made videos for every weapon to see how it performs...

I agree with Oily. Work a bit more in that, give it more screenshots or even a short video and it'll get ingame rly easily in next patch. If u know how can I download this and use it offline, I could gladly record some bot killing with that sword.

Also consider redoing the preview image,if someone who has not voted on your item before, a new logo would help draw them into to maybe give it another look.

Lastly and there is not much you can do about this,other then making the set for Agatha. But when i see the pointy nose bascinet, i think Agatha. If you look at the Agatha helmets, the Vanilla, hound set, final guard set and the dark ornamental all have that pointy nose bascinet look. Consider changing the faction. Changing the faction might also increase the amount of traffic your set will get. If you look at the Agatha helmets available for knights,90% of them are fantasy looking. I did a realistic knight helmet for Agatha and the response was overwhelmingly positive and many comments mentioned the lack of realistic Agatha helmets as something that was wanted.

@Grator have you considered re working the set a bit to make it pop out a bit more and perhaps give your model another look.

For starters you have all this lovely decorative detail in bascinet but its all the game color ,so it gets lost ,perhaps make it gold to provide contrast. If you look at all the accepted Mason helms,they have gold in them for contrast. The same for the sword,little fine detail,sadly lost in a diffuse with the game color through out.

The material on the sword and helmet is a little too clean,add some discoloration and grain on the surface to imply wear. The material on the grip is too shiny as well,comes off as plastic.

I had a look at the beta yesterday (cos I saw it was updating) and devs are testing a lot of new workshop content. There are sets with a lot less "likes" than this one (like the Wrecker set) so, maybe we'll see yours soon. The helmet is original and the SoW don't have too much skins so, I can't see a reason for this set to not be officialy published. But, as you've said, TB is the only captain of the ship.

@hakobo.ku interesting insight. Unfortunatly it's not on my hands to decide such things. I don't know if this set will ever reach the game since it's been almost a year since I posted it here and many newer weapons and sets have been approved by TB. Thanks for appreciating it everybody, really encourages me to keep going!

@Grator I know it might seem like it would conflict with the facions idea. Being that they have separate unique sets. But I read into the story of this game and I suppose the Mason order are just rebel agatha knigts fighting a civil war so theoretically it would make since for them to occasionally have some of the same gear

@Grator - I know this is a bit of a stretch. But by chance can we see this helmet set for both the mason order and the Agatha Knights? If we do see them in game. I prefer to use the Agatha knights over the mason order and I'm very fond of this set and I think having this option for both sides would be really cool

A really like this set. I can't understand why it's not in the game yet. I was curious so, I made a bit of research to look what were your inspiration sources.
I found a lot of helmets looking like yours (bourguignottes) but, I never could find a visor like the one you made.
Did you pick it from somewhere or does it just come from your imagination?
Anyway, excellent work! I hope the Instigator will be implimented in the game soon!

It looks a little glitchy on the 2nd photo you have up, what is this based off of hailberd or something?

It isn't as hard as it sounds,just gotta make sure you replace the right text in places. If you run into any issues let me know,I have done it many times already :)

I will try to get you some in game footage of this item, honestly I read through the whole tutorial and seemed fairly complicated to accomplish it but I will try nonetheless :D

@Grator: They had different methods to make the steal black. The most used and cheapest one was to put black color over the metal. Here are some cool examples:

Wonderful work on the helmet! It looks ornate, yet still very practical looking and clearly based on historical pieces.

@Randy Giving a black look would be a cool idea, I could play with the colours very easyly but the contest is already over and this is the final form of my submision. Also, would they use paint to get the black look on the metal or a diferent heat treatment on the steel?

its a "sturmhaube" a renaissance helmet and was the favourite helemet of the german Landsknechts. Most helmets of this type were used without a visor. I am working on a similar hlemet. Would be cool if you would make a version with a black metal texture that would fit very well to the masons.

@Robbo I took inspiration on historical pieces and drawings of helmets from the late medieval era. Probably the art directors of GoT took the same inspirations for the baratheon faction. I encourage you to look at the link at the right hand to see the progress since the begining of the contest.
