the itchy scratch scar is clearly the most pressing matter to resolve

**If you're getting the 1.5 file**

In RimSort's troubleshooting tab, click the buttons that say "Clear Download Cache" and "Verify game integrity" in that order.

You can also do this through Steam itself, but RimSort has them easy to find. This should work with any mod having this issue, its worked twice before for me.
Coolchilion 28. juli kl. 15:36
I'm using RimSort and somehow Steam is still downloading the wrong version, something is wrong on Steam's end, the about file is missing the 1.6 tag
Inglix 18. juli kl. 12:51
I'll also add whatever small weight my voice carries to the suggestion that people adopt RimSort over RimPy. RimSort is open source and actively developed, while RimPy is a closed project that is dead and abandoned.
Inglix 18. juli kl. 12:49
One thing that people need to be aware of is that in some cases, even when both the mod author and their subscribers have done everything right, Steam is still screwing up.

In this case, I can confirm (at least for me, and likely some others) that subscribing to this mod downloads an old version, because Steam is being stupid. It's also happened with two other mods I subbed to while rebuilding my modlist for 1.6. No amount of unsubscribing and resubscribing would fix it.

The only solution when this happens is to use the "Verify integrity of game files" option in the properties of the RimWorld Steam library entry. In each of the three instances of this particular problem I've encountered, it was the only way to resolve it. And yes, it sucks because it has to redownload ALL your mods when you use that option.

This mod works on 1.6. I wasn't doubting it, but I re-checked anyway and it does. Look at this page. It says that the mod is compatible with 1.6, and it gets the version data from the About.xml file. If your mod manager is complaining about version compatibility, but the Workshop page says that it's supposed to work, then you trust the Workshop and redownload the mod.
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 18. juli kl. 11:32
@nnccmm
1) Redownload the mod.
2) Use RimSort. RimPy is a dead project.
nnccmm 18. juli kl. 11:14
@Samuel_Bucher you are getting these inquiries because your mod does not list itself as 1.6 compatible. rimpy throws an error.
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 13. juli kl. 9:56
Check LoadFolders.xml. Also, did you even bother to check if the mod works in 1.6?
TrenchFoot_Tony 13. juli kl. 9:36
it says it's 1.6 compatible, but does not contain a 1.6 folder? I cleared all my mods so it's just this and harmony. Is this a mod thing, or do I need to trouble shoot my side of things?
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 29. juni kl. 23:21
Yes.
Local man that screams at cloud 29. juni kl. 21:21
anyone know if this still works in 1.6?
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 24. feb. kl. 6:58

I believe that everything should work just fine considering that that mod is just a single XML patch. But for the future, I would appreciate it if people checked for incompatibilities themselves and only asked me to fix them, if found.
[RTB] Sarianos 24. feb. kl. 4:53
@Samuel_Bucher
Would this happen to be compatible with Space Moth's Biosculpter Treats Organ Decay mod?
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 10. maj 2024 kl. 10:43
Never mind, I somehow broke the 1.4 version. Fixed now.
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 6. maj 2024 kl. 11:13
That's the thing - I did use the same code.
Syrus 6. maj 2024 kl. 11:02
Looks good, no more error, thank you!

And about 1.4 ... I don't really care to be honest.
You could use the same code to for 1.4 as you did for 1.5 probably, that would make it compatible there as well, but I doubt there are many people still using 1.4
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 6. maj 2024 kl. 10:30
Must have built it wrong or something. I rebuilt the 1.5 version, launched it along with your mod, and got no errors. However, even rebuilding the 1.4 version still gave me errors on that version. You might want to look into that if you still care about 1.4. I have pushed the update, see if everything is fine now.
Syrus 6. maj 2024 kl. 9:56
Uh...it seems the 1.5 dll was reverted to the old version, it's not compatible with Variations again.
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 24. apr. 2024 kl. 11:58
@Syrus Oops. Should be fixed now.
Syrus 24. apr. 2024 kl. 11:53
@Samuel_Bucher
Just realized, I think it still says "incompatible with BPaNSVariations" in game, apparently I didn't remove that with the pull request
Sturm 24. apr. 2024 kl. 11:37
ah, that explains it. that's a shame, hopefully soon companies will stop inexplicably punishing russian citizens for daring to live in russia
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 24. apr. 2024 kl. 10:57
@GoSu Paypal espetially doesn't work. I live in Russia, we are cut from SWIFT, and Paypal is among the numerous payment services explicitly left themselves. Until things change, I physically cannot take donations (or make international purchases) without doing some abroad credit card machinations. I suppose the best one could do is send me a Steam gift card. All the money goes to Steam instead of my government, and I'd only get the fake wallet money. Not that I really need it, I'm not struggling with money.
Sturm 24. apr. 2024 kl. 10:46
What about Paypal? It's not what people usually use, but I figure it's probably available in your country.
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 20. apr. 2024 kl. 2:56
@GoSu I appreciate it, but I couldn't find any creator donation service that works in my country, so no tips for me.
GoSu 19. apr. 2024 kl. 11:45
If you have a Ko-Fi link let me know!
GoSu 19. apr. 2024 kl. 11:42
@samuel_Bucher hey thank you very much sincerely!
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 19. apr. 2024 kl. 1:22
@GoSu Syrus sent me some code changes, and now Selective Bioregeneration is compatible with Biosculpter Pod and Neural Supercharger Variations.
GoSu 18. apr. 2024 kl. 7:27
Thanks for checking it out! Appreciate it <3
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2024 kl. 1:48
Biosculpter Pod and Neural Supercharger Variations is now marked as "incompatible".
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. 2024 kl. 23:18
@Syrus Wow, your mod is written in a very advanced way. I'm bit of a noob to C#, and not a great programmer in general, so I'm really struggling with implementing a check for my mod's presence, at least without adding Selective Bioregeneration as a reference, which I assume you wouldn't want.
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. 2024 kl. 21:45
@Syrus Oh, hey, I love that mod of yours. I use it myself so it's weird that I didn't encounter this. Anyway, instead of changing my mod, I could do what I did with Inglix and his Faster Biosculper Pod mod and send you a pull request with the fix. It would be less work for me. I already know what needs to be done since that mod had the same incompatibility. Would you be alright with that?
Syrus 17. apr. 2024 kl. 14:16
This mod is incompatible with my mod " Biosculpter Pod and Neural Supercharger Variations " because you overwrite the medic & regeneration cycle's compClasses.
My mod checks for those being of their respective original types (or a type derived from those) to determine which CompProperty is for which cycle.

Would it be possible for you to derive your replacement classes (..._TargetedMedicCycle & ..._TargetedRegenerationCycle) from the respective original classes instead of using a new base class?
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2024 kl. 17:39
No, this was 100% a functionality oversight on my end. Our mods never had any compatibility issues.
Risk 16. apr. 2024 kl. 16:55
thx man. Was it a bug on your end or a compability issue? curious on what was causing the issue
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2024 kl. 15:39
Done. Man, that was actually a pretty major bug, when you think about it. I wish someone else reported it earlier, or that I understood what you were trying to say earleir.
Risk 16. apr. 2024 kl. 14:23
thx man appreciate it can't wait to reinstall your mod !
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2024 kl. 13:10
Oh, you are right. If a pawn has no "will heal only one of" conditions, then it won't let them use the biosculpter. I'll fix this right away.
Risk 16. apr. 2024 kl. 12:54
what happens when you use bioregeneration to heal just and organ (missing organ or missing limb) does it let you? I know the way my patch is coded it heals multiple limbs in one cycle so I am wondering if that might have and effect. all play around with it some more when I have a chance for now I just have yours disabled.
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2024 kl. 12:36
@Risk I don't know what to say, man. I load your mod before mine, and everything just works. Although looking at how your patches work, I there doesn't even need to be a load order. I checked and, again, it works.
Risk 16. apr. 2024 kl. 9:54
Havent had a chance to test alzamers specificly but removing the mod did fix my problem so I know it was the cause. tried putting bioregeneration first dint seem to work. Gonna test with alzamer when ever I have a chance
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2024 kl. 9:27
@Risk So how did the tests go?
Risk 13. apr. 2024 kl. 9:33
gonna test it later today, when I tried it last time it wosent letting me use the pod despite having injuries it could heal
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2024 kl. 0:11
@Risk Note that it doesn't list the contitions it will heal unconditionally. Try curing Alzheimer's.
Risk 13. apr. 2024 kl. 0:09
ok thats interesting all try that on my end as well see if it works
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2024 kl. 0:02
@Risk I'm testing it right now, and it looks like I don't even need to do anything. Works like a charm. I'll make it require being loaded after your mod, though, just in case.
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2024 kl. 23:28
@Risk Yeah, It'll probably be an easy, job. However, you should give your mod a more descriptive name.
Risk 12. apr. 2024 kl. 23:18
just thought I would give you a heads up notice a compability issue with my mod bioregenetation. Up to you if you wonna put a pach up but its not detecting any of the new things I added for the pod to heal. So any time I send my pawns for bioregeneration it wont detect anything aside from the default things the pod heals. I think fixing it would be as straight foward as creating a patch that if my mod is detected and adding the conditions that my mod adds
Dunedain 12. apr. 2024 kl. 16:29
now works yayyy :D
Samuel_Bucher  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2024 kl. 15:56
@Dunedain Wait, THE only? Damn, I forgot to list Harmony as a dependency.
