I only just started playing with this mod but the swiss made a city next to me, it has city state borders. Very strange.
Moll Dubh 23. feb. 2024 kl. 21:51
currently have several textures missing. Needs a reupdate after so many years.
pseikone 18. jan. 2020 kl. 15:59
Hi, Teddyk! Could you bring back the old Flanders trait? I
Swiss Dave 5. okt. 2016 kl. 17:25
Under which circumstances do the swiss cities provide those bonuses
Huey 12. juli 2016 kl. 7:08
Also, if we can use a different color for swiss city than the city-states color it would be better. And why not use the Swiss cross that we see on this page than the one there is in game, it's more beauty ?
However these are only details, and, as I said, I find your mods really good
Huey 12. juli 2016 kl. 7:04
Hi, as a Swiss, i'm very happy to see your mods and your Switzerland is really good.
But there is a thing that I find bad : it's that the City-states like is not really helpful. 250 per 1 military unit or only 3 happiness ! It's little. Maybe if you can rebuild this higher it would be nicer :)
pseikone 11. juli 2016 kl. 18:11
I really like your Switzerland civilization from this set - I found it very interesting. Are ypu considering to create events and decisions for your sets? To me, it would be great.
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 15. feb. 2016 kl. 9:46
I don't think there is anything that could make it not work. Maybe, it is not displayed in EUI. If you want, you can send me screenshots (1. city production tooltip, 2. science production tooltip, 3. global science tooltip (on top panel)) so I could investigate it. However, I am quite sure that if you are getting +100% Production then everything works correctly. :)
AtomicViper 15. feb. 2016 kl. 7:53
Tested with and without the Liechtenstein civ without succes and then I realised I also use the enhanced user interface dlc/mod. Could that be it?
If so sorry for wasting your time.
AtomicViper 15. feb. 2016 kl. 7:35
just this mod and the liechtenstein mod. I will go and test it now
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 15. feb. 2016 kl. 7:33
Are you sure? Maybe it is needed to reopen city view for yields to be updated. I have just tested it and it is working correctly. 8 base production, +100% gives 16 production and I have +4 Science from Research (25%). What is more it doesn't always double the Science, if you have other Production modifiers (Factory, Workshop).

Are you using some mod with "heavy changes" to the game?
AtomicViper 15. feb. 2016 kl. 7:30
Just the raw production counts towards the science/money and so the 100% bonus doesn't work, I think.
AtomicViper 15. feb. 2016 kl. 7:14
The watch workshop from the Swiss confederation isn't working properly. You do get the bonus production of 100% but you won't actually get double the amount science/wealth.
Virus 17. nov. 2015 kl. 3:50
so i started my game activated the mod but i cant select anyone they simply dont show up does anyone know why ?
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2015 kl. 10:31
Well, I tried to balance it with City-States' bonuses from game. You may be right.
It seems that you were unlucky with cultural/religious ones.
Tnesniv Yørel 4. sep. 2015 kl. 13:34
I had a very interesting play with your Switzeland. Very nice. But I found the mercantile kinda useless (2 food is just a little bit, and in just 1 city); maybe add another +1 food (3 total). I founded quite a lot of cities, and none was cultural/ religious; is that normal? Still, very nice job!
Majestät 25. aug. 2015 kl. 0:57
Question: Are all these sets independent from the standard set-ups? Can I still choose like, Greece, Romans or Korea while this mod is activated?
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 1. juli 2015 kl. 11:41
I admit It would be extremely useful if you would check if it doesn't crash without using those two mods (quick duel, medieval era, fractal map ?). Because if game crashes when you give an order for worker to start constructing improvement, it must be some graphical stuff.
Actually, it seems that it is very similar to Real Polders mod. I will check it carefully, but it is summer time and to be honest I don't know when. :P
lankyjoe 1. juli 2015 kl. 11:21
If you do change wateringues to a UB, could it be something that helps with the big pop issue by adding a specialist slot or just some happiness? Just spitballin' here.
lankyjoe 1. juli 2015 kl. 11:17
I don't use any "heavy" mods, mostly civs and little resource buffs. Could maybe be one of the two polder mods, Real Polders and Polder Extension (?). (I like polders.)
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 1. juli 2015 kl. 10:30
Ahhh, I noted myself to balance it out in next update (halved bonus for 4 radius, 1/4 of bonus for 5+ should be quite ok). May test it first with Increased City Radius mod first.
Thanks a lot.

In case of Wateringues, do you have both God and Kings (it is using Polder graphics!) and BNW (it is using the code from BNW). Is it possible that it was an issue with other mod (do you use a lot of mods, especially "heavy" ones)? For me everything works fine, but I would consider changing it into some UB if it crash for people a lot.
lankyjoe 1. juli 2015 kl. 10:08
Wow. Just played the new Flanders with Increase City Radius 3 to 5 mod. Packed in cities next to each other. Finally built my seventh city in the one open tile between my other cities and that city STARTED with 40 food/turn! Of course, I ended up with huge cities, lots of unemployed citizens, and difficulty keeping positive happiness.

Trying to build wateringues crashed my game, though. Not sure why.
WERNERvsNEO 4. maj 2015 kl. 0:38
I forgot to mention its at the civilopedia screen for the leaders.
WERNERvsNEO 3. maj 2015 kl. 14:53
Also with Swiss as with Nepal and Niitsitapi I see missing things in the Civilopedia. I so like the quality of these extra civs that I find it a little pity of these minor missings. Maybe these can be fixed one day. :)
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 22. mar. 2015 kl. 17:24
That's somehow intented.
MESTRE SILVIO 22. mar. 2015 kl. 15:33
I'm not sure wether this is a bug or not, but Flander's UA seems to glitch the transformed terrain.
wisp 7. feb. 2015 kl. 16:03
Another amazing job.
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 9. jan. 2015 kl. 4:45
When I was playing civ 5, I used every single civ of mine, playing 22 random civs with no problems.
PcJaegr 8. jan. 2015 kl. 19:23
Are all of your new nations mods compatible with eachother?
Meier 19 16. okt. 2014 kl. 1:19
Hey, i'm using Civ 5 on Steam for Mac, i subscribed to the Civ Set XIII, but i cant get it running? I searched online for help already, downloaded the pack from the dropbox and put it manually in the MODS forlder, this won't work as well... Any ideas?

flanders? hi didly ho neighbor...im pretty sure i butchered that
ZyeuxRouges 5. okt. 2014 kl. 14:41
@Teddyk: Bern is officially a Federal City, and is de facto the capital of Switzerland.
Regarding your choice of leader: as the swiss political system suggests, the leadership was rarely incarned by a single person during swiss history. Dufour is a valid choice. Henri Guisan, also a general, is another valid one.

cool idea
Zürich :Uranium:
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 5. okt. 2014 kl. 5:23
Hello,
I thought that Switzerland has no official "Capital" and I made City-List based on the largest cities. You can easily change it if you like to.

However, since you are from Switzerland I have the question. How valid is Henri Dufour as a leader? I found him suggested for Swiss civ, made a leader art and then started asking myself if it is truely valid choice.
Elsinal 5. okt. 2014 kl. 5:08
Hello,

I'm from Switzerland, so I give this mod a try. Just to let you know that the capital of Switzerland has never been Zürich, it is Bern.

Thanks anyway for doing this mod :)

Stupid sexy Flanders
bowldawg 4. okt. 2014 kl. 12:00
Yeah, I mean, if it's "exiciting" it's usually because it breaks the game. These are almost DLC the way they fit so well into the game.
Fenragon 4. okt. 2014 kl. 4:18
@MrAltair: it literally means "good day", but it refers to a morningstar weapon as well.
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 4. okt. 2014 kl. 2:18
I would like to see one that grabs me, says "thats unique" and makes me excited to try it out.

@MrAltair
I think so. Quite a standard way of calling the weapon.
rzemsky 3. okt. 2014 kl. 13:51
yes, but nothing that grabs me and says "thats so unique!." They are fine civz, they just dont get me ultra excited to try em out. There are plenty of civs that already give a bonus for conquering, are great for luxury trading, or give a gold boost.
9oiukpascal 3. okt. 2014 kl. 12:40
yolo
bowldawg 3. okt. 2014 kl. 12:08
@rzemsky These would actually be amazing if played right, you'd get lots of luxuries for trading from one guy, a bonus of some sort for capturing cities (so domination game, attacking capitals=huge asset), and lots of gold-gathering abilities.
rzemsky 3. okt. 2014 kl. 11:21
While i love the artwork and the work put into these mods.... i must admit none really seem all that interesting to play. Good work, but not a fan of the UA's for these civs.
Zeca Trovadinha 3. okt. 2014 kl. 10:51
doesen't goedendag mean good morning in duch?
Teddyk  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2014 kl. 5:23
@Imperator Justinian
Oops, my bad.

@markduke
Unfortunately, I have no direct download yet (on civfanatics you can find link to all my sets in one package, but I am updating it monthly).
