Just a heads up everyone, another mod I've dubbed 'TNGComputer' is almost complete. It's in beta tester hands right now.

TNGAmbience is meant to be a subtle mod to change a few very specific ship sounds. I will work on adding a few other effects to this mod in the future. But I plan on this mod being close to 'Final' version. Save for any necessary adjustments needs based on the game development.

The new TNGComputer mod that will go live soon is also 'classy' in my opinion. It keeps the computer voice of this game as-is, but adds various Star Trek beeps and alerts to almost all of the sound files. So she sounds more like a computer giving you information, etc. There is only 1 voice effect I added which uses the voice of the computer from the TV Series. I think it fits, but beta testers need to report to me on that.

I downloaded this mod because it fixed the annoying PTE looping sound. But if i hear Star Trek voices popping around or if good sounds are replaced, i probably won't continue to use it :x.

I could check through those files actually. I'll have a peek later today.
The thing is, I want to keep this mod classy. You know? If it's overloaded with different voices and it's a mish-mash just to make it 'Trek', it's going to be kind of ghetto. I want to keep with the flow of the game and add just enough to make it entertaining without being heavy handed.

the best star trek voice would have to be found in startrek armada man what a great game.

personally i like the female vinnilla voice in the game

I looked at changing some of them, but it's difficult to find proper audio files that represent what's going on, on the ship. I'll keep checking into it though.

so far i do not notice anything wrong. you should think about adding other engine sounds besides the galaxy class (as other mods i mean) might be cool being used together with the ship mods possibly. i do find the computers voice annoying sometimes, i want to hear the engines powering up, not you tellign me what button i pushed. maybe you can turn that off? just some suggestions

ya and do that to for all your mods cause updates seem to not work either unless u un ckeck then recheck exit then.... play. kinda wierd i think but it works :)

You have to exit the game and re-open it after installation. Most/All mods have this problem at the moment.

i subscribed installed and put a check mark in the mods tab...still doesnt work

Ya the new station release sound is soooooo much better than the blast off sound well done Bean!! if that was a mod on its own i would of subscribed.... at least if i just sit there after selling ore from mining astroids... iam not wondering why my ship aint moving anymore :) gives the game a more imersive and real fealing of un docking from a station WTG Bean

Amazing bud !! 5 starz baby oh if you have this Mod all ready (2 get the new update ) be sure to uncheck it... in your mod list . and any under it in ur mod load order... then reselect all the checks in order of ur mod list then exit... restart the game !! and Enjoy the hell out of this!! i have yet to check it out (cant wait :D ) i was wondering??? tho u know the sound that happens as you leave any station??? (Vigil for instance (blast off from a station lol) its horrible.... i could have my Engines off !!! and it still sounds like blast off time ... I was wondering if you knew how to issolate that sound and either change it or just shut it off ??? it wrecks the feel of controlling your own ship??

Yeah actually, I think I could turn it up a bit too. I'll check what the original file's dB level was, and see if I can match it. Shouldn't be a problem. Glad you guys like it! I always found the Enterprises' engines were a soothing sound.
