I see. The original mod is a bit visually buggy. For some reason, the visuals of the "Upgrade" button and the "Upgrade" descriptions are grayed out. It's true that to apply the "upgrade," you have to tap it two or three times for it to take effect. Thanks a lot, friend!!

Just tried it now and it seems to be working on my end, with just the 3 mods enabled. There was an update in April that added missing aspects from the Gifts mod, is your save older than that perhaps?

There are some quirks to using the original mod that carry over to my units, such as sometimes needing to reselect your army to see the upgrades button, and the 'Upgrade' button itself being greyed out yet still functional. With mod update, you will also be required to research Wood Elves technologies to unlock aspects now (this part can need a new save to work).

If it still isn't working, let me know what the issues are and I'll see if I can advise on how to fix
