Finally, a 67thway that doesn't need CSS. This map is genuinely impressive and very well designed

btw this map should work with the latest version of ttt2 now, i submitted a pr there that fixes up +use interaction with doors since ttt2 broke it after an update last year

@Shadowysn no, i just run a script that manually compresses the hell out of my maps (minifies the entity lump, removes lumps the map doesnt use, redoes lzma compression at max settings, etc)

interesting! bspsrc crashed for me on this one, with an error i haven't run into before, so i assumed that might be serving as obfuscation or something. though now that i think to check, i've got a pretty old bspsrc version, so that might be the issue. that's a very fun trick with google maps that hadn't even occurred to me. unfortunately does not help for what i'm trying to do, but super cool regardless. thank you!

it literally just sends 1 GET request to https://maps.google.com on the client's end, which acts as a free geoip service because the resulting html file will have the coordinates somewhere, then the client sends those as 2 floats to the server

you can use bspsrc to decompile the map, the map's lua scripts are just 2 files named like lua.vmt and luacl.vmt (just use a code beautifier to make them readable)

hey so uh, extremely long shot here: are you willing to reveal trade secrets about how the funny doxing machine works? i've been playing around with making http requests through lua in gmod, but the roadblock i'm hitting is apis requiring authentication. most of them do and i'm currently trying to figure out how to do that in a way that doesn't get my credentials stolen literally instantly. was that something you had to handle? (i kind of have a guess, lmao, but if i'm correct it doesn't help for something that isn't going to be embedded in a bsp)
