There is a new "Townsfolk get Happy" button to give them the Happy mood boost thought temporarily. So, you can use it if and when you desire.

It might be more useful with that added control, but that's all I can do. I can't make a button that turns off everything in the mod.

very good mod but, i hope that you can add button to turn off the glad system until i turn it on again. it will be much more useful that way.
