I guess I'm used to Factorio where ctrl+f is the shortcut for focusing on search bars.
I didn't realize I could rebind it in the controls menu! Thanks a lot!

@Wiwiweb: Ctrl+F is "find on page". Ctrl+E is "jump to search bar" (at least in most browsers and Microsoft software). I felt that Ctrl+E was just a bit better suited to this application, but you can of course re-configure it to Ctrl+F if you'd prefer.

This mod is really useful but is there a reason why you decided on Ctrl+E instead of the usual Ctrl+F for "search"?

@Markolainen89: Use Mod Updater instead. Glad it works though.

First it did nothing, but after downloading mod manager and then updating/downloading it again through MM it worked well.

@Markolainen89: Good idea; I should've thought of that. You should now be able to use Enter and 1-9 to quick select the corresponding building.

Just want you to know that I have become so automatically reliant on this hotkey that when it disappeared while messing with mods, I suddenly had no idea where to find any of the things I wanted to build.

Thank you for this mod! One addition that I'd appreciate would be to press enter to select the first (or only) item displayed. For example; Ctrl + E => type in "grooming" => press enter, and now the grooming station is selected for building.

@KiritoTRw: Is it only different the first time you use the hotkey? I notice that the hotkey seemed to expose some weird vanilla edge case that sizes the menu differently, but I saw 0 usability impact and it would only happen the first time.

When used together with the Bigger Building Menu mod, the size of the menu triggered by the shortcut key and the menu triggered by clicking the icon are different. Not a big issue though.

This is so frickin amazing and I am very grateful for this because I live by hotkeys.
