I often disabled the wave marker + music to get around the problem. It's frustrating as the devs were told enough times and I create a map and step by step instructions on how to replicate it but it never got fixed. I've started playing the next map which doesn't seem to have the problem so that is a relief!

Yes, the objective works based on events that make use of Count(Food)=N

The wave music bug haunts my dreams, it was painful enough that it can trigger multiple times (if you have generators with different names) making the music essentially unbearable to listen to.

Another enjoyable map with a different style. Like the other maps so far I did it first try but it felt perfectly balanced for me playing no pause. It was about the right duration too.

Only negative for me is the never-ending wave music bug that keeps happening. This is a game bug and not a whole lot you can do except work around it. Do you have conditions in your waves?

Otherwise though I enjoyed a map based on just units and I enjoyed the lore and the text descriptions with the queen which was a lot of fun. Nice work again!

I've made a bunch of balance changes, see you in part 8 :)

By random I was more referring to it from a player perspective. My first wipe was due to the ranger hero dying during clearing. I spent extra time discovering the map and getting a grasp of the objective. I lost due to my ranger hero being sniped. My next attempt I park my heroes behind wall. I somewhat split my army to be more efficient. While clearing, a harpy wave spawns and have about 5 of them come at me near the railroad and lose all of my units. Next one I repeat this strategy except careful to keep all units together. This works great, as I'm clearing the last food north east, final wave triggers. Similar to the other comment, I had no idea what was going on or what I was supposed to do. I did immediately begin running back to the choke with my army, but the wave came too fast and while I was trying to save my units, the "random" harpies got my heroes.

I did go through and complete the level as well as 6 and 7 after seeing your reply! Can't wait for the next ones!

As for the large open space, that's unfortunately a symptom of me having a completely different vision for the map before this iteration. Instead of removing it I just kept it as it is (I did trim what I could beforehand). Originally the city itself was the level instead of the outside area.

Thanks for the feedback. I've lowered the Harpy count in the final sequence. I do wonder what you mean with "random", given that every spawn event involving Harpies is controlled by set parameters. The only Harpies that head straight towards the base are the ones in the final wave. This map can be a bit tricky, but I think once you figure out how to play around noise it becomes much more smoother.

i think this map needs some serious rework. too much open space walking around in the beginning. learned the hard way to park my heroes at the gate to avoid wipes. clearing is mindless/tedious and takes quite a while. finally make it to end and have almost no warning. random harpies come and jump the fence and kill my heroes. idk if i have the heart to try this again haha.

Hey there! The final wave is part of an escape sequence, it is deliberately designed to be impossible to stop. You must race back to the Imperial Palace before the infected do, destroying the final wave is not required. Hope this helps.

Was anyone able to succesfully finish this map? I can't seem to handle the final wave with the little soldiers you get during the game...
