To change colour in singe-player go onto scenario editor and change the players from computer to either, save this as a different scenario and then yoiu should be able to play as different players.
Pretty sure its because you played it with 6 people.. If you want it to play it with 6 people i suggest making the bottom 2 ai. :)
Go into the scenario editor and go to players within ardar and change the player type from computer to either, remember to save this with a different name though!

Hmmm did you play it with all 8 players? Either that or becuase you changed some of the standard lobby settings.. Those are all that I can think of..

Either go onto multiplayer or singeplayer then click on game then scenario and try to find Adar Diplomacy in the list.
You you can indeed stock up on tax collectors and then wait until whenever you want to completey crash the economy of one player if you desire. :)
