@Callsign_Ewok that's just the general playermodel to view offset discrepancy i expect to see, even without leaning. maybe there's a way to rotate the view offset very closely to how the actual spine bends but considering the difference will be very high anyway i don't really care

I love some of your recent updates and improvements, keep it up. Any extra compatiblities and ways of making the spine move as accurately as possible is always welcome. Sometimes my model does lean in third person more then in first person for his right side for example. Left side it's not as exaggerated.

Otherwise after all these updates it's definitely working better in the right direction no pun intended lol.

use sv_lean_debug and enable developer 1, it'll show you some internal information just to see things better when troubleshooting (i added it just now so don't be surprised i didn't mention it before)

also these keybind commands shouldn't be letters, they should be numbers. do you have any menu replacement installed? try switching to a beta branch, there might be some inconsistencies there

by looking at the console i found out that the menu somehow even if you bind the "hold" the command gone trough is "toggle"

i think the bind system you made is acting up a bit, i use for both leans hold but one of them randomly switchs so toggle when made a new bind, and the toggle left bind never works

As Callsign mentioned, dynamic heights needs to be turned off if us the user wanted to synergize this mod with enhanced camera 2 or dynamic height and that is the only "fix" we could possibly achieve without the needs of configuring any codes. Your mod is dope man it's just a bit sad I can't enjoy the feature that I dearly like and turns out it was obscured by other mod existence that at glance it seems does not cause any trouble but it is, i'm not saying you need to update just letting you know and credits to Callsign_Ewok to finding out the temporary solution, cheers

mods with calcview can only affect the view angle tilt and the viewmodel tilt so the core functionality still will work

yeah i just find out by now, kinda saddened me a bit as that the only option or just go back using simple leaning which compatibility is its priority and having dynamic height won't trouble the mod

I use enhanced camera 2 but I don't use dynamic heights as other mods I use already regulate that like prone mod etc. So I think this mod like a few others requires experimentation in order for it to work properly and be careful with any mods affecting that view offset or height, probably even view calc.

I had it before and still it didn't do anything, the camera won't tilt at all both in first person and third person but the leaning animation still occur.

this doesn't help me in any way. do you expect me to push an update that doesn't work at least for me? to be honest you're one of the reasons i generally avoid accepting bug reports through steam comments, but if you send a video of the issue happening and then your conditions (maybe the map, singleplayer or multiplayer, the collection you have, settings and shit) i might be able to narrow down the issue

Also if one mashes or accidentally hits the toggle lean left or right buttons the wrong ways in between actions this can cause the player to have their leaning glitch out in opposite directions. Just a bug.

Ngl it took me a second to adjust to it at first, but once you played around with the new binds menu and got used to the new adjustments it feels good actually! Improved. Of course more work is to be done.

I am not sure if my dark spawn menu UI mod I am using did something or a different mod but for some reason the menu for leaning it's buttons are out of place for me, like one above the other thus creating confusion in what the controls for binding actually is.

But I figured it out after testing each bind bubble, the last one being not visible and accessible for me as i couldn't scroll down to it as it was cut off.

Tip: For users having trouble tweak the values and such, like each command almost. Speed it up a little, lean more with higher values, get the reasonable crouch offset really low low like below 1, mine is 0.2 and multiplier is 0.2, same with the spine interp ratio get that low like 1.25 or even 1, 1.50. Unpredicted mode being on can be helpful too actually.

Just restarted after setting my binds. Now it doesn't stick me in lean.

Still not a fan of the new menu. At least put it into the options tab of the context/spawn menu like most other configurable mods. So we don't have to use a console command to access this.

Completely broke leaning. Can only lean one direction no matter if I hit left or right lean. It just stick to the first lean I hit. If I first lean left, every lean press goes left. Hold to lean sticks me in a permanent lean UNLESS I HOLD the key. Its inverted.

the lean left hold works as toggle, the lean right hold works fine tho
