i think you are able to have a flying kirby is by having the picky bank since that one flies. But im unsure if the pickybank has an open and close animation

i think the only way to make it to fly is thru a mod

Yes, although it isn't as nice as I would like it to be. Chester has no flight animation, so I couldn't give kirby one either.
