Weird it really shouldn't have any FPS effect. If anything it should increase FPS. I'll look into it but I cant guarantee much as the mod is literally one line of code

game looks really good w it, but in some challenges the fps drops to low 20s. With just the sharpener it stays above 100. but base game runs good overall

On linux/steam proton if your desktop environment allows forced fullscreen here's how you can achieve sharp fullscreen:

1. Options -> Mouse click fullscreen
2. Force fullscreen toggle (alt+f11 on XFCE4)
Do not switch focus during next steps
3. Keyboard navigate to Windowed and toggle it
4. Alt+F11 to force borderless fullscreen

It baffles me that a game on this day and age has 5 resolution options and no neighbour nearest scaling filter options

About 1 hour after the DLC came out and I realized that the mods weren't working, I tested some Lossless Scaling options, I ended up reinstalling the game believing that everything would go back to normal, but before opening it I went to take a look at the Sharpener mod page, and there I noticed that the mod author was online, I imagine he was probably fixing the mod. After that I entered the game and everything was as before (the Sharpener mod was working and your mod too). So I think everything is OK. Thanks for worrying.

Will look into it. I'm wondering if this is a Sharpener issue because my mod is literally one single line of code that changes a Unity related setting

Awesome mod! Really really helpful! For ages I was confused why sharpener wasn't actually making my game sharp because I remember (pre-remix times) sharpener actually did this sharpening thing instead of the full screen thing. Maybe im hallucinating but I'm glad someone made a new mod!

Hey, would you have anywhere that you could have the files downloadable from. I have a friend that isn't able to have workshop work for them, so they need to download the files and put them directly in their mods folder

@moose that's a remix bug that affects every mod. try restarting the game or disabling and enabling the mod

sharpener isn't working, it doesn't let me open the config menu. (yes i've clicked on the name of the mod)

Oh it removes a filter to make it sharper... My interpretation of the description was literally the opposite, I thought it would add an additional sharpening filter or something, but yes first impression of this is that it's a clear improvement

@EthanJamesBarron Verifying didn't work, but reinstalling did. Might be an issue with sharpener.

@bugnuts? It shouldn't do. Sometimes Rain World forgets to apply the bilinear filter either way this just makes it consistent. If its consistently like this mod then I recommend you reinstall / verify integrity

Heads up, this mod persists after uninstall. Didn't like the way it looked but even after unsubbing to this mod (and sharpener) the visuals don't return to default

@Duker As mentioned this removes the bilinear filter that's applied when using fullscreen meaning there's no filters applied similar to windowed mode. This is for people who want it to be completely pixelated with no smoothing. Notice how sharpener is a dependency because it allows you to set your resolution to your monitor's resolution. When you do that this mod takes care of one option allowing you to have as far as I'm concerned the intended Rain World graphics

This mod confuses me... Sharpener already makes the game nice and crisp in fullscreen, what reason is there to add this as well?

The thing is Futile and some weird thing possibly related to Unity add a filter over it when fullscreen / resolution is over 1366x768

What it is, is you have to put your cursor (if you're on PC) in a specific spot to make it non blurry

Yeah that kind of bugged me too lol it was hit or miss but this makes it pixelated for certain

The weird thing is half the time I get the blur half the time I don't and it confuses me. Glad to have a fix!
