None of the settings affects the camera in sense that what ever values you put they are always maxed regardless, and during enemies turn in the combat the camera will zoom in and out from far max to close close as possible making it impossible to see anything what's going on.

I tried my best with some of the settings, but I'm not that good at Lua.
The fact that the camera freaks out when the AI starts is due to the game itself.
We have tried to reduce it.

Ok, thanks for your clarification. I like the idea behind your mod, but as someone said earlier in the chat, the camera goes crazy (zoom out really far) when AI starts factions turns (allies, enemies). I've tried many settings without success.
I also watcher your video, good initiative but you may want to add default values somewhere as a reference, units aren't always the same in the mod menu (% versus number from memory)

The quickest and easiest way is to delete the account.dat.
However, this will reset all settings.
It can be found in "C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\Jagged Alliance 3\STEAMID\"

Would it be possible to have the option to reverse the Y axis in free camera mode? I generally play with reversed axis (Descent was my first videogame so I got used to forward-on-desk meaning "nose down,1 etc.).

But I have the following problem: after each round the camera is back to its original settings. I then have to go into the mod options, click on a camera value and "apply" it, then go back into the game so that I have a better view again.

Where is the mistake? Does anyone else have this too? What can I do against it?

You could try reducing the camera settings for the height.

Is it possible to make it so that the camera stops zooming OUT to ridiculous height during enemy turns? Also is it possible to make it so that I can keep control of the camera during enemy turns? this is preventing me from being able to play the game due to motion sickness. Thanks!

I know the reason for it. It has something to do on how to fix the SetForceMaxZoom inside the Code.

I will take a look for a second Mod without it only for RTS Camera maybe.

The RTS camera is great! I launched the mod on a new game. It doesn't throw away. But there is a problem that makes it impossible to continue playing. Enemies don't attack me on their turn! They just ignore me. Is it really impossible to fix this?

If you have Problems even the Mod is disabled try removing the Mod Options inside account.dat.

Ok, I updated the mod with the code, but it breaks Combat for the RTS camera.

I hope I have set everything correctly.

The pull request on that repo is by me actually. I am not 100% sure all the code in that is necessary, but it worked. I have played the entire game with it. You can use that code if you want.

I'll take a look and ask him if I can borrow his code.

The other mod i linked has some code, especially in the pull request, that resets the max zoom to standard in those events and brings it back to configurable zoom during the player turn. Otherwise the AI turn becomes basically useless.

The Game is using "cameraTac.SetForceMaxZoom(true) thats why it is zooming out when a Combat or an interrupt happens.

As of the Overview Camera i can take a look at that.
For now you can Zoom Out more an then Press "O".

Also, is there any way to zoom out even further in the overview camera, where you can see the intel? No camera mod seems to be able to solve that one.

Maybe some collaboration is in order to fix the "zoom out when combat starts" issue with this one?

Good start for the mod, but it has the same issue as other camera mods. It zooms out all the way as soon as combat starts or an interrupt happens.
