I mean honestly don't worry about it, it's a behind the scenes item too for the most part, I'd prefer it to look like the other editors. Also, the dude knew before he downloaded and you can tell by how he phrased it all, he just wanted to give you a hard time. Forget him, you did good.

the thing is the actual strike isnt casted from the editor, its spawned by an entity that is attached to the editor, the only way to modify it would be to globally modify every strike
