do fallen empires still got megafauna in each colony? them having a boss in the capital would make sense but them having one in each planet made conquering them both unfun and a chore.

@WP yup sorry that's my bad, the build queue button didn't show up for the first few months in-game but then it appeared again; was just going through some recently subbed mods but like you said none of your 4.0 mods should make changes to the vanilla GUI, must've been some other weird incompatibility somewhere else

@WP The AI i just being Stellaris AI I feel. I run a pretty heavily modded game and should likely increase the difficulty lol. The AI can defend itself, but mostly with fleets. Ground wars are only good on well established planets, and as the Ai seems to expand rapidly and doesn't migrate pops, a lot of planets can have next to no armies.

I've not noticed them using your modded units, but then, in truth I don't usually pay attention to what the enemy is fielding unless I'm struggling against it x)

Awesome! I love hearing how it's actually going. Are you finding AI empires are able to defend themselves? And has an AI empire every used wildlife against you?

Further update! Been playing the same game. Now approaching mid game. 1000 stars, 14 empires, 4 fallen empires, 3 marauders. All the same mods as at the beginning.

No crashes or weirdness detected.

I've had your researches pop up. And recruited some of your wildlife and their riding version to my armies no issue either.

Seems there are no conflicts with Guillies or Giga so far!

But you have a point, perhaps a true fanatic purifier might terraform the alien planet (thus killing every alien flora/fauna) and have an ark full of animals from their home planet to settle the new planet as well.

@WP: Every faction in the game (when played by ai) that is not environmentalist removes blockers, so that means they all hate (Dangerous) Wildlife :D And you could say that a xenophobe might hate every sentient alien that might pose a threat. They would probably not care about an alien equivalent of a rabbit/spider/dog/bee etc. For the grandchildren of the folks (in case of humans at least) that settle an a new planet, those 'alien' animals would be local animals.

That's excellent to hear! I believe Guillie rewrote his deposit spawning in a recent patch and I hadn't assessed it yet.

Perhaps you make a good point! (This mod was made before environmentalists existed). I sort of feel PDX messed up a little there... Fanatically fearful or hateful Xenophobes that distance themselves from alien life shouldn't really be interested in defending alien biomes filled with alien flora and fauna.

Perhaps they're doing it in a self interested way. But then again we're only supposed to be talking about the FANATICS here. Not very fanatical to compromise on your beliefs to the extent of an empire defining civic.

Regardless I can probably add some logic that says if you're fanphobe + environmentalist together you get access. PDX leads the way, after all.

Fanatic Xenophobes and Purifiers also are uninterested in wildlife.
=> Technically, they don't hate alien wildlife since in vanilla stellaris, Fanatic Xenophobes (don't know about purifiers) can be environmentalists.

Just for some basic feedback.

I've started a game.

There doesn't seem to be much conflict between guillies and your mod at the moment. At least I'm not noticing anything odd from what I've been seeing after using guillies for ages. Your wildlife things are appearing as they should.

Not got far enough in yet for anything in Giga to have an affect with stuff.

I use both Guillies planet modifiers and Gigastructures.

How would your mod interfere?

With my current load order sorted through Irony, I'd place your mod below UI overhaul dynamic anyway, which would also mean your mod would be read after both Giga and Guillies.

What oddness might I expect?

I feel that's impossible since there are no GUI edits in any of those files! Army attachments contains a custom GUI but it doesn't overwrite anything in Vanilla. Perhaps I'm wrong but I don't see how.

I posted a quick update on "Planetary Features Expanded" a couple of days ago and now I'm doing it here:
I'm currently updating this for 4.x! The update will be pushed to steam soon. For anyone who wants to stick on StellarisPI (3.14, arguably the best version of the game) NOW is the time to save a local copy of this mod in a .zip. Because once steam pushes it, it'll be lost for good.

This does not work with 4.x yet. I'm considering updating for 4.1 but it depends how many more bug fixes come in from PDX. I feel Stellaris is pretty wrecked since "Phoenix" so far.

Symbiotic relationships developing between symbionts and the wildlife would be cool, letting you either take the normal route, or put resources into taming and adapting those species for your wilderness for a better buff. Maybe you get a bunch of the armies for free this way?
