Endos are working fine on mine, and other players ends, I reread your older comment, it sounds like you keep spawning the NPCs as guards, or you aren't on a map with proper AI nodes. Please check your VJ Base spawn menu and make sure they aren't being spawned with guarding enabled. To make sure an NPC isn't a guard, use the context menu and hit "toggle guarding" on the NPC to see if they're spawning as guards or not.

It's me back months later. As of the time I'm typing this I removed all the mods I had until I was left with VJbase and the addon that goes with the former. Those were the two addons I left on and it still doesn't work.

I just learned that this could be the result of an update on GMOD. I don't know if it's that or if there's something wrong with the VJBase addon but either way it began to kill my interest in VJBase addons and I'm not looking forward to having them in my possession anytime soon.

Hmm okay I have an idea about this mod how about like fnaf suits? Like they can go into the suits and gain like buffs That’s gonna be cool like they go towards a suit that's like near their sight then they wear the suit and gain some buff

The other endos have a much stronger head frame and can't be shot off. That being said though, you need to use a STRONG gun and then you can shoot off the nightmare Endo's head.

W mod I can headshot an haywire and a normal endo and it’s a different animation why can’t I headshot endo 2 nightmare and rockstar endos and no new animation?

Dude it’s not fun when they jump high I just went to the map mall parking and spawned one in and I just tested them all before I went to mall parking to my knowledge nightmare ending jumps high but I didn’t know ending 1 & 2 can jump high so I spawned all endos and I went to a high ground and I just saw them jump on the bridge that made me jump so I went back on game and jumped out of the high ground turns out they can jump back down W mod

"New" Endos are typically hidden away in certain pics, however it does not mean any proper development started on them aside from getting their models ready for a potential update.

There are no required addons other than VJ Base, I'm not sure what could be causing missing textures.

It's unlikely you'll see any new content anytime soon. I will still update the mod though to make sure these guys stay working though, just yesterday I released some bug fixes and adjustments. I've partially moved from doing gmod addons super often and focusing on my own projects, so if any new content comes out for this it won't be for awhile.

No error happened when I spawned two spring endos and I had ignore players on. Nothing else was in the map. Had them both on guard and they still wandered.

Did all this on Construct. Furthest I had them be apart was having one be in the tall building near where you spawn and one near the water. They still caused each other to wander.

That's odd, I did some testing and they seemed to stay guarding fine (obviously if other ones get woken up around them they'll awake others) I might've also partially reduced how often they talked so you could be feeling the effects of that.

Them being a bit harder to agro is an error I noticed while testing, seemingly an issued caused by the VJ base revamp, apologizes. I'll try some more testing in the future to see what I can do.

The spring endos don't seem to like staying still while guarding if there are other spring endos nearby. Just one will work fine. Two or more and they'll wander. Also... is it supposed to be this hard to alert them now? Seems like they'll only way up if I hit em.

Endo 02 (and the scrap animatronics) also don't seem to like talking to each other as much. Or... at least stay to finish the conversation. They'll either just keep patrolling when trying to talk to each other or they'll stop for a moment and suddenly wander off.

Don't think this is intentional. VJ Base revamp issue I assume.

Appreciate it, But I know how to make their running less common (I could just easily make their walking a lower chance) If you figure out how to bring back the original system where Ent.Animtbl_Run/Walk/Idle can pick between separate animations than that would be awesome. For now it's no big deal.

Yeah they did, sorry about that. VJ Changed the way the idle, walk, and running systems work and I could no longer easily have them randomize. Now it's a 50/50 when they're alerted and they have another chance to change upon taking damage.

I may update again to make the chances to run a tad lower, but I wish I knew a good way to revert to their old running system.

Late night hotfix drop! The Endoskeletons are back in working order! I also went through and adjusted all of their animations for running and walking, they should look much better moving now!

There's some other small changes as well, you can view them in the Change Notes section! Enjoy the update!

okay so like here's some errors i found after the vj base update

1. CustomOnAcceptInput - lua/entities/npc_vj_endo_02_head/init.lua:130

3. unknown - lua/vj_base/ai/core.lua:1459 (the head cant rlly jump anymore)
the spring endo doesnt walk slowly while injured
the endo01's head when headshotted just sort of dissapears instead of just hopping off

With the new VJ Base update, a handful of features and SNPCs of this pack do not work as intended. Please be patient as I try to fix a lot of these issues across my addons. Sorry!

I wouldn't have the skills to do that. There are already addons on the gmod workshop that do similar things.

Could you make an addon that spawns in close proximity around the player (But removes endos that haven't seen the player within 5 minutes, to keep ones that spawned outside the map from making lag)

I was thinking maybe you could add a new endo called the "corpse lurker" basically they spawn where there is alot of dead endos and they basically act dead and then wake up and try to attack the player. They will look like a bundle of a bunch of wires etc with some endo bodies attatched. And if theres more than one they can alarm all the other endos in a area that is 5 times as big as the endo 02 call radius.

On second thought you could also have "Spawn as guard" enabled on the VJ base tab, that makes it so the NPC always returns to their original position and guards one spot. You can tell if you have this option enabled if you look at the bottom of the VJ Base spawn menu, or if Spring Endos are spawning in their sleeping state.

No exact idea what could be causing that. I do know the addon "Player based NPC Relations" can cause issues where the Endos don't attack the player unless you get close, so it could be that. If you do not have that addon I recommend unsubscribing from most of your gameplay changing addons till you find what works.

I have the VJBase mod downloaded and these NPCs don't operate correctly. All that they can do is attack me when I get near them or go back to where they were spawned when I move them away from there. What can I do?

So this idea sounds a bit outlandish but...

Maybe have Endo-01 and Endo-02s build MORE endoskeletons!

These can be either (only 01s) or have (01s build more 01s or 02s build more 02s).

They can build a max of 3 endos at a time and those built endos cannot build more endos.

I got this idea from FNAF worlds move "Endo Army" from the endos (except endoplush).
