When passing through Victoria Station many years ago I heard a conversation between two rail workers. One said, in a strong Welsh accent, "You know there are tunnels under the station, but do you know what else is down there? I saw this for myself. RATS!!. Rats as big as dogs".

Great building. I love it. But, did you put the rats in the basement?
