For some reason this causes shotgun spread to be REALLY buggy

WOAH This addon is severely laggy on Linux for some reason. Like just being in a map with gates reduces my framerate to ~10fps and adds a ton of control delay. No errors thrown, just tons of lag that isn't there on Windows. Very strange because this is the only addon I've seen do that.

Soo all of a sudden between yesterday and today the dhds are now errors and I csnt fix it because I'm playing via geforce now

This addon currently breaks bullet spread on all weapons that fire multiple hitscans simultaneously( Vanilla HL2 shotgun, shotguns from other addons, etc.) so they all go to the same random point.
Tested and confirmed to happen with ONLY CAP and Wiremod enabled.

Okay so, it dont got all from this, the workshop version, like missing things like maps, and gatespawner like for example for bigcity, construct, flatgrass, and more, i think the workshop ver, is slightly diff and better cuz when i has urs, i see some stuff missing but when i get the other one the og but splited up i see some things again. so please fix that and add those missing things and such, please i beg of you i want em merged to help with lag and other but urs is missing some stuff like gatespawners, thing that in by default to have any map loaded or most get gates in them, more uptop, sorry and thx:3

Has anyone figured out why the gate spins when using a DHD to dial? It never used to do this in all of aVoN's original versions and even after it got moved over to CAP. If you hit the buttons directly on the DHD instead of using the menu it usually would behave correctly and just engage the chevron.

have you by anychance managed to isolate the code to have just an isolated stargate and DHD so you could have the gate without everything else? the code gives me a head ache

I found an odd bug with this mod: All shotguns in the game, including other mods act as "slug guns" and are HIGHLY inaccurate. The only reason I know that it is this mod specifically, is because I disabled ALL mods and went through them one at a time to find out which one was causing the issue and found out it was this one. I don't know if this helps or anything, just figured I would let everyone know in case you were having the same problem as well.

When an incoming connection uses slow-dial, you only get like half a second of warning that there's an incoming connection. The Wire input doesn't fire until about a half-second before the portal opens.

this addon is making every shotgun (even those from other addons) concentrate every pellet into a single, still random bullet

its another stargate mod its made from tjis but expanded on but is missing alot from this one like this one is missinf from it', also this mod keeps giving me so many errors. heres one of many:

@Comrade Penguin you can do that by typing in stargate_gatespawner_enabled 0 into the console, but it will disable spawning on all maps

ik this mod is probably dead but does anyone know how to stop the stargate stuff from spawning on the default maps (construct and flatgrass)?

Yeah so this is really great, however the text on the sgc screens is random symbols and the puddle jumper spams error messages and doesnt work properly overall

the puddle jumper is broken both on chromium and normal, which is disappointing, because it's probably one of the better ships in the mod, the shield fix is greatly appreciated though, I just wish there was an easy way to tell which mods aren't compatible, but I did notice that it doesn't manage to stop npcs many times, things like the manhacks and rollermines aren't repelled at all, the gunship's warp cannon also seems to go right through

@TruncatedCake Yeah the shield core has been updated already, its up, there is a issue with the puddle jumper, but i havent noticed any issues besides that, the puddle jumper for whatever reason is having alot of issues on chromium but not on the normal gmod branch, i will try my best to find a fix for it, if not then i might remove it and just make it a seperate thing to install for normal gmod users or something, but i dont think removing it would be good for people, so i got no idea.

@Gabe Ah, darn... Well, I had a look at the Language issue. And I managed to fix it. Feel free to send me a friend request here on Steam, and I can share the fix if you'd like. Or maybe we should create a new Fork of the CAP GitHub page, and push our changes there? Like a CAP Revival project or something? :P

Let's bring Stargate back!

Hi. Anyone else notice an issue with translation? It doesn't seem like it's able to load any of the language files folder.

LANGParser:new - File lua/data/language/en/stargate.lua does not exist!

So the result of this, none of the text in Stargates menu are translated, and instead use names like "stargate_menu_04" and other numbers. Giving no hint as to what it refers to.

I've tried both on the normal and Chromium branch of Gmod. As well as done a full-reinstall of Gmod.

But it doesn't seem to want load the language files. Claiming they don't exist, as shown with the error log above.


And furthermore, I seem to have another issue. Probably not related. But it started only after I added CAP. LUA Auto-refresh no longer works. I used to be able to save a LUA file from my project, and it would get refreshed in-game immediately. This no longer happens.

Do you have a Discord where I could join, and we could talk more about updating and maintaining CAP?
