@Marcusec

Division by zero causes the problem.
If you want to nerf weight difference set it to 1, but not 0

I didn't check in details this mod but I'm quite curious about people claiming it breaks their game. to achieve this mod you literally just need to change 2 values in the FCS in your global settings:
-weight strength diff 1x: 20 -> 0
-xp rate strength: 0.5 -> 1.5

I never seen any strange behavior tweaking those settings tho I've never set the "weight strength diff1x" to 0 I usually set it on 1.

Will break your character's stats or bug your bodyparts eventually. Do not use.

@Lexxy Fox

lol thank you, I've had this as a Discussion for like a year now (multiple threads/posts). Was wondering what would even potentially cause it, as it's seemingly random.

Don't use: mod occasionally causes an integer overflow when dealing damage which sets the body part health to -1. This prevents body parts from being amputated and KO'd but also causes skill values to behave weirdly. The bugged out body parts can't be healed, and it doesn't get fixed when importing the save. Only editing the values manually in the save file fixes it. Stay away!

mod breaks weapons you're too weak to wield. tanks combat speed on heavy weapons if you dont have strength requirements

I need to echo what Salt Oreos said, this mod seems to cause overflow errors with regards to limb damage. Griffin took 2 million damage to his leg and it seems to have permanently glitched out his blood and left leg health.

well damn , all theses years and i never even notice that, very nice, does this only effect my crew or do i need to prepare for weak enemies getting tough too?
kaiyl_kariashi 14. okt. 2023 kl. 6:21
the actual requirement is equal to base weight or 40x blunt, whichever is higher.

2x weight is never actually used and is only "accurate" if the 40x blunt happens to be double the weight.

i.e. a Topper only needs 8 strength, no matter it's quality, not 16.
Salty Oreos 29. sep. 2023 kl. 20:54
Causes an integer overflow when using the wakizashi. I made sure to test with only this mod enabled, and did the freedom seekers start, instantly attacking the nearest person.

thank for the mod

I see, thank you for the information.

this game seems rather unfinished, doesn't it? :kabuki:

@月羽狐
If a weapon's blunt damage is way too small or even non-existence, then the 2xWeight fomula will take the place, since in Vanilla most of the time weapons' 2xweight is equal to 40xBlunt damage, it wasn't a problem most of time. But when it gets to mods, then the system gets really messed up.

@Nobody
Sorry to hear about your problem, but right now kenshi modding is kind limited, we can change some existing data and add some new and that's it, the core functions of the game are largely untouchable, we can't even cleanly get rid of that blaring music at night time right now. Hope in kenshi 2 we can get more access to the game's core functions via modding.

The funny thing is that the traning sword mod provide a 0 str required sword and it actually gives you full XP.

Thank you for wonderful mod and explanation! :dustwich:

It also just became apparent to me that the cannibal redux weapons like the Grand Meat Hammer is effected by it's blunt damage, being probably 2.00 damage, right. This thing swings so slow that it's not a feasible weapon at all.

Maybe you can change, somehow, the mechanics of the game to utilize the weight of the weapon rather than the Blunt/Cut damage? That would be an A+ mod in my books
Trinity 11. sep. 2023 kl. 18:34
It makes sense now that I read you said that it's based on the weapons blunt damage
like what the hell? There's a weight system in place, what is it used for? Why would the weapon's blunt damage effect the speed of your swing or anything like that? That's so strange. I made all these weapons and shit without knowing that and it really pisses me off since the blunt damage, in my mind, is supposed to be how much the impact is translated into blunt force trauma rather than cutting damage. It's, again, like how the fuck did they fuck that concept up. That's probably why the katana is the fastest weapon in the game, however it's also one of the lightest weapons in the game, so ..

the fuck does this even have to do with anything, right. Why not make the katana 17 kilograms, strap it to my thigh and call it a [redacted]
Trinity 11. sep. 2023 kl. 18:34
I also noticed that some weapons, just because they were better, like a cross greatsword, swung way way slower than a normal variant of that same sword. It was rather bizarre because the weight wasn't that much higher and my best character was seriously having enough trouble swinging it that I literally had to stop using the Cross version of the weapon and nerf myself in order to play the game better.
Trinity 11. sep. 2023 kl. 18:28
I didn't even know you got strength from fighting. I use that mining gives you strength mod, and honestly I didn't know what vanilla aspect of the game gave you strength. Maybe carrying a heavy load, but that only seemed to train athletics
Tharisdan 9. sep. 2023 kl. 18:57
Looking forward to giving it a try
Bospor 6. sep. 2023 kl. 23:05
good idea
