The second though.... Weapons in the Combat block are still dropping when disconnecting from the merge blocks. SIgh.....

I have a rover design on the workshop, the "08-91 Dromedary" which can print and launch 18 similar missiles at a reasonably quick pace. Its probably got a system similar to what you're describing.
Do you think it would be possible to create a similar system a small scale weapons platform with a similar detection system but the ability to rebuild the missiles and continue launching for a while?
