Is this still being worked on? Sometimes an error referencing void shields just pops on screen and space marines become invincible, I’m not sure if this is a known issue?

@The Exile You can actually change all textures and the boot up text with the addon settings so you wouldnt even need to reupload the mod or make your own version of it. You can, I give you permission to, but you dont need to.

If you make the textures you need to pack them as a mod and load it. Then you can input the filepath in the addon settings in their respective sections. For a custom boot up message via addon settings you need to define a specific variable as the text you want and check a setting.

Based on previous comments it seems I should be able to set up a custom version of the loading screen text seen on boot up and to change parts of the UI eg repurpose the mod for a more generic sci fi mission setting. Is this correct and if so is it possible to get a general summary of the steps involved? Love your work but my players are doing a non 40k campaign ATM.

@ReaverInvictus There is a field and a full repair kit added by the mod. If you have ace its a self interaction, if you dont its a scrollwheel action. The field kit repairs up to half, the full kit repairs the entire suit. You need to be engineer to use the full kit.

@SleepDeprived Its not spawning with a melee weapon. Its some kind of mod conflict I think but I still dont know which combination of mods is triggering this and at this point I doubt Ill ever find out. But I know from tests that it doesnt only affect my mod when it occurs but every script that uses the classname wide init eventhandlers, like webknights hit reactions.

Did some testing, spawning with a melee weapon doesn't make you invincible. I tested it in antistasi, though, so it may be different? Idk

Question, how do you self repair your own armor? I mainly play solo and I can't seem to repair it, at all.

@The Exile You can show different hud overlays for different people but its a bit more complicated. Everyone who wants a different overlay from the space marines has to change the filepath in the settings manually. The setting is client side unless you force it. Different overlays for different helmets isnt technically supported yet so youll have to do it like that unfortunately.

Hey Akaviri13, love the mod thanks for your work on it mate. Can I ask for clarification I wanted to use this with the Solar Auxilia mod after I read you can make your own visor textures I have a few members in my community that should be able to figure out the digital art side but don't wanna break any mods or step on toes. Ultimately I'd be running events with both solar Aux and Space Marines so would need the the visior shown to depend on which helemt/skeleton a player was using. I also assume that changing the armor status figure in the bottom left of the HUD would be inadvisable or impossible. Would the above be possible with the current state of your mod or am I better off postponing these ideas till a later point? Also do you have a Patreon your work is seriously amazing and my players are loving this mod in particular.

@Alpharius The icons for the armor will still display but you can just turn the icon colors to have 0 alpha so they are invisible in the addon settings if you want.

@Alpharius Yes, there is a cosmetic only option in the Black Carapace - General addon settings, fairly close to the top.

@Jinterceptor That is actually pretty much already set up in the code, I just have to add the setting for the user to be able to change it.

Hey Akaviri, any chance you'll be expanding the file paths to allow us to set different armour images depending on the mark of armour we're wearing?

@LuckyShadowCat Not by default no. You can edit the overlay texture and put in a new filepath in the addon settings though.

Hey Akaviri13, does this mlods could be adapted for Vehicle ? I'm more interested into trying make it Interface for Tau Battlesuit when you are inside a vehicle. Or could be just the Interface for any firewarrior helmet I guess ? What are you thinking?

Is there a way to make it work with units spawned via the Sci-fi Support Plus drop pod insertion? Those units seem to be unaffected by it and die rather quick.

hey mate im constantly invinsible. ive removed melee weapons from my loadout and it hasnt fixed it. all of my mates are running melee weapons and havent had the issue im the only one. any ideas?

@★B-i-x-i★ You need to wear armor that is in the list in the settings. The basic TIOW space marine gear and some others are included by default. If you wear a space marine helmet and a uniform from TIOW you should get the option with the scroll wheel to activate the hud. The armor system itself activates on its own but you need to activate the hud seperately with the scroll wheel option.

@Divotdog Add all their gear to the system via the addon settings. There is no way to just apply it to everyone, sorry.

@CaptainHairyLegs You sure the system is actually running on the unit you are shooting? Is the setting to disable "non cosmetic features" ticked or unticked?

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I made a new profile to do that haha. But now im having issues were even when the resistance is set to 12. As to cancel lasgun shots. The wearer of the armour gets loads of bruises. Which I dont seem to be able to fix.
