No issue, if you get back into the game you could try making a version without aircraft vectors, so ground radar calculations could still be used without lag

This system is crazy unoptimised . Im sorry for the disapointment. I havent played the game in ages but I do have other very good ATC radar 99% finished , if i come back ill post it

I also have an issue of insane lag once powered

Hey I am trying to make this radar system work with a guidance system. The guidance system uses a camera stabilized to put a laser on a enemy aircraft guiding a laser guided missile to that aircraft. I need to get the composite from the radar into pitch and yaw to make the camera look at the locked target. When I connect it to the "Target info" node it freaks out and wont track. The way its supposed to work is look at the target, turn on tracking mode. then turn off the radars to avoid setting off enemy RWR's. I set my composite reads to 2 and 3 for yaw and pitch and connect your target info node but it wont work. It just freaks out and spins.

hey man, looks great, but isn't there a seat input for the parallax (when you turn your head, the marker moves with it?)

Can't wait for AWACS version! I'm making an ICBM and AWACS is the only radar with enough range to track the ICBM into space and across the globe.

This has a lot of potential for a TCAS I or II system (Traffic Collision Avoidance System).
The Screen basically has all the infos, you would just need to adjust the following:

- Set Distance to something like 10 Miles
- Show Targets on screen with following colors, depending on their altitude above/below you and their relative Distance and time to CPA (closest point of approach).

Cyan/White circle for other aircraft
Cyan/White filled circle for proximate aircraft
Amber/Yellow filled circle for potential threats
Red filled square for collision threats

- Additionally, the screen could show if you should climb or descend, giving you resolution advisories.

can you increase the updating speed of the radar so it could be used for missiles

This absolutely rocks but I am experiencing a similar issue as revolt earlier in the comments. Crazy lag in my plane when I activate the radar, when I turn it off my frames come back.

Hello, thanks for the excellent controller. For use on a boat, what would be the correct settings for the phalanx radar? I.e. sweep limit, FOVs, pitch angle.

i cant seem to find any that work with the missile radar because i need a really small one that fits on a 1x1 monitor. does this work with it?

By using I mean you can use mine to improve your own radar.

I want a nice universal radar with modes like C scope, PPI. I made a C scope radar myself, but most of it works with electronics and is a bit problematic. If you want, you can use my radar as you wish.

Hey, I would really love to see a Cooperative Radar. Perhaps you could design a Radar unit with a keyboard that allows you to input a frequency. Additionally, another unit could be used to display and process the received data, and it could also include a keyboard for entering frequencies to gather data from multiple radar units. Integrating this concept into an ISO Container would be fascinating. I'm not certain about its feasibility, but the idea is quite appealing.

Hey, trying to use this but I'm experiencing crazy lag whenever the radar is turned on and connected to the microcontroller. Its attached to a plane, and I noticed it lags a lot less if I am not moving. thnx

yes it was in the air, and it was using a phalanx radar. An easy simple fix for this would be to consider every target within ~10m from each other to be the same vehicle

Was this 2-8 for when u used the radar is the air ? Im still fixing that. Sometimes u get jitters. Make sure u are using the latest version of the mc !

although, when i put it on my plane, i noticed that there was around 2-8 targets for a single vehicle, which i assume is due to the radar noise, which causes the system to lose lock as the selected target dissapears

regarding the issue of no video, turns out i forgot to merge the mc and my jet :|

Also I love this, it feels very much like the radar you see on an F18. Picking out targets and reading data from it.

Will you be adding a way to change the range on the screen instead of physical buttons? Or maybe as an optional thing?

Is the video connected ? It has 3 video outputs make sure u are plugging the correct one

Is it powered and on? The screen in the example is conected to a constant on signal and not to the button that starts the radar

I tried copying the mc to a plane that i use and after hooking it up the screen doesn't work, it just stays black

3x3 recomended tho. 1x1 might need to adjust hud fov in properties

Any huds ! Just connect to custom hud input and will work

Which HUDS are compatible with this system?
