I'm incredibly sleep deprived, but, one thing I'm unclear on is, the 'absolute speed sensor', do I need 3 speed sensors total? two directional foreward and right, and an absolute?

if u wanted it to account for roll and pitch there's tilt sensors for that, and it looks like u have room on the microcontroller for 2 more inputs without increasing it's size

This is cool! You know what would be super awesome (but probably impossible or at least too much work)? If it had an audio feed with a text-to-voice thingy that sounded like the automated maritime weather broadcasts and reported the weather at all the named locations in the game. Or since that's probably impossible, it could give weather reports from anywhere players placed a weather station of their own. You know, like the one you've packaged up for us here, but without the monitor, and with a radio and some solar panels to keep it charged up. We could carry them by helicopter to whatever places we wanted weather radio reports from!

Haha yeah, I know, way too much work right? lol. But it's fun to imagine.

Thanks :D But sadly that's not possible as there's no sensor in the game which can get that kind of weather info shown on the map.

The people in this game never cease to impress me with what they can make. Whats next, a LUA weather map like what we can toggle in the existing map? Very impressive!
