Other suggestions : Let skeletons use other covenant weapons (or even give them bows and crossbows instead, maybe some are enchanted), and give the mobs flinching or on-hit effects as it can be hard to tell when you're actually hitting a mob or missing your shots. And yeah, i think others have mentioned this but giving them different minecraft armors to denote ranks could also be good (with corresponding shield strength of course)
