It works with all texture edits, head or body. It does not work with model edits though.

can it work with body skins?

I think it would be more pertinent that mods that add the hat to other characters use a different material, since this actually supports head re-textures provided they use the original material, whereas a hat re-texture is going to edit the head texture that this mod will end up loading.

It's an Ellis mod, not an entire team mod, I get it, I was just kinda saying that incase anyone wanted to use it for that reason, I forget I can talk over cynically sometimes, otherwise, best hatless Ellis model as far as I can see.

Haha, yeah sorry I thought I may have come off the same way too, because I thought it was another person talking about a "conflict" in the addons menu, the ones where they turn red.
But yeah this was a little different than that, I hadn't thought about the fact any mod that used Ellis' head texture would also be affected.

Ooooh, I get you now, the issue is because this mod edits his original head texture for retextures to work, so if those mods use Ellis' original head texture, which shares the textures for his hat, then they wouldn't work, that makes sense.
I understand what you mean now, unfortunately that is just the way it is.

A good number of mods for some survivors add Ellis' hat to said survivors, I believe Zoey & Bill are the main ones, the other mod works fine with those, this one doesn't.
