Well I initially assumed the rocket would fizzle the cube so that's why I just toss the cube. And be real, I do it all the time to shortcut stuff anyway so it's at least helpful when speedrunning.

Yes that works. May I suggest that I need to be able to see the cube as the missile strikes it. If it misses I need to know why it missed, thats all.

As someone already said, avoid Z fighting by not overlapping brushes. I personally dislike static rocket turrets because Portal 1 introduces them as always tracking the player. Might as well use the aerial faithplates.

I like the concept explored here, you could simply build on this layout by finding more reuses, especially for the light bridge.

As for geometry, it is a personal preference, but try to avoid z-fighting by not overlapping geometry too much. It looks glitchy to me.
