Does it work?I cant use the blocks , they dont apear
SkekDris 5 oct. 2018 la 23:09
It's a shame, it was nice while it lasted. I loved the texture of the armor so much.
Tye Dye Guy 30 mart. 2018 la 14:54
The person who did the DX11 updates for this and the Advanced Gyroscope just kind of disappeared. Hopefully you are willing and/or able to update the texture to DX11.
Maison De Cornusiac 18 mart. 2018 la 8:08
As probably nobody meanwhile continues to play in DX9 (Keen updates I think only work in DX11?) wouldn't it be the clever thing to bring this to DX11 too? Would that mean much work? In case you are using same identities for the blocks as the vanished ones had they might just show up again when I reload the world...
YouTube.com/StoneLegion  [autor] 18 mart. 2018 la 7:37
I have not updated this and the DX11 was not my version.
Maison De Cornusiac 18 mart. 2018 la 7:07
Yes, the other superheavy armour got removed and left my latest construction virtually naked. Fine. Now I have to start all over again, hopefully this one here works and will *continue*...
MightyN0ob 6 mart. 2018 la 20:09
What are the chances this could get updated to DX11? The other one was removed and I don't know why. :(
Shirou_TSP 16 iun. 2016 la 8:30
Reminds me of the surface of the forrunner structures in the Halo series
Good job :)
Mini_Meatwad 2 dec. 2015 la 4:42
it actually does need dx11, this is the best heavy armor mod i could find
Froschreiniger 22 nov. 2015 la 7:02
NEED DX11 NOW!!!!!!!!!!
SkekDris 19 nov. 2015 la 3:53
Please give is DX11 support, this is such a cool texture!
[40-1] SgtSnipey 11 oct. 2015 la 6:43
Is there any plan to add the new slopes as super heavey armor?
JakeBarrage 7 iul. 2015 la 12:39
will you add direct x 11 to this
Gumnut 23 iun. 2015 la 21:08

I just came here to say what Kam and Acts said. =)
Haginen Otsolen 30 mai 2015 la 6:51
please make it into DX11 :D
Kam Solastor 2 mart. 2015 la 13:24
Could this perhaps also be done in armored ramps (like Uncle Stens mod), and blast door parts? Perhaps even a 1x1 (for both small and large ships) heavily armored catwalk plate that you can use as supplemental armor over something (such as, if you have a conveyor sticking out to cover a turret, or the sides of a conveyor)?
123 21 ian. 2015 la 16:18
standard weapons doing nothing is ridiculous! to op
rsg 4 nov. 2014 la 10:14
maybe you can make mod for very armored fighter cocpit?

Learza 21 oct. 2014 la 7:43
after the update, this feels like "ultra" heavy armour than "super"
Thominator47 15 oct. 2014 la 5:11

Coreinsanity 11 oct. 2014 la 16:29
Sorry if this has been asked before, but does this give 5x the mass as well?
WiFiN 29 sept. 2014 la 14:47
Nice mod, but I wish it had more "armor" look. Some rivets, washed plate or carbon weave. But not this silicon board look. Armor is the last thing that'd come to my mind while looking at i, no matter the texture quality is quite high.
Helratz 9 sept. 2014 la 5:04
Great Mod, thanks! It would be awesome if you could apply this to the shapes and thickness of the glass blocks for thin reliable armor.
DerFedus 31 aug. 2014 la 6:18
Hi there Guys, any chance that graphics Bug it's fixed?
Synapt 25 aug. 2014 la 16:56
Any fix yet on the texture bug or still looking into it?

Srgt G: People who want to make a truly dreadnought class ship? :P
Srgt_G 23 aug. 2014 la 17:46
Heavy armor is already retardedly strong, who would need this?
SkekDris 21 aug. 2014 la 16:19
So far the amount of matrerials used determines a blocks strength right? What about Deformation ratio? Or items besides steel plates?
YouTube.com/StoneLegion  [autor] 21 aug. 2014 la 16:04
@WhiteWeasel The way the resistance system works it does not quite work like that. For fun try taking a Heavy Armor block and double layering it and firing on it. You will find even that should last a insane time. Now stack it 5 deep. You for sure should never be able to get through it. I think the best way to see it is more layering then anything. But on top of that it's all in 1 block to give it even that more crazy resilience.
SkekDris 21 aug. 2014 la 12:59
I did a compairison, and well, if it takes 2-3 missiles to destroy a heavy armor block, this should take about 10 right? I may be doing something wrong, but it certainly take more than 5x the missles or bullets to break them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4ju8W3HkTA
SkekDris 20 aug. 2014 la 20:06
This is a cool idea! I've been wanting to try my hand at SE modding for fun, but I'm no Sage or Darth biomech. How hard was this to make from a coding standpoint? I figuered that adding a stronger version of a block would be a good idea for a beginning mod.
Grim_Repair 20 aug. 2014 la 5:19
As you grind and build the layers are all within the first 20% of the build. Have the values for each layer also been 5x? Also I am not seeing a time difference when grinding or welding. I was hoping for something here to slow griefers down more then heavy armor. So far this just rewards grifters with five times more materials.
Tora 19 aug. 2014 la 9:18
This is offtopic, but where's the titanium... KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!
Tora 19 aug. 2014 la 9:15
Ah, so that's what you meant. Okay, I'll wait for an update. Where you can add a different material or something that maybe reduces weight, gives the strength but requires a boatload of materials to craft it or something. Thanks.
YouTube.com/StoneLegion  [autor] 19 aug. 2014 la 8:53
Yeah Vas I can look into removing the edges. Just creating one more mod for my server and then I will check that bug and see if I can make an edgeless version!
Vas 19 aug. 2014 la 8:50
I just noticed, your armor blocks make this thing one solid block. 2.25m³ of solid metal. You can't add any more than 833 steel plates to a single 1x1x1 block. :P

Can you also make a version of this that doesn't have those edge textures? Edgeless armor basically. Like this; http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=300685868
YouTube.com/StoneLegion  [autor] 19 aug. 2014 la 8:48
I have not had a chance to figure the bug out with the graphics but I'm on it. For the crash there I highly doubt it would be the armor since the only thing that might effect it was mass and the mass has not changed since the first release. Only the resistance has been increased.
Vas 19 aug. 2014 la 8:40
Did you fix the graphics bug? Also, I'm not sure if the armor is related, but it may have caused an issue when loading my save game file and rotors activated and such. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qgewflczphwj4i0/Screenshot%202014-08-18%2008.24.22.png
YouTube.com/StoneLegion  [autor] 19 aug. 2014 la 8:27
The armor is now 5 times stronger and 5 times longer to weld / grind. Make sure you make some kick ass welding ships!
Vas 18 aug. 2014 la 18:30
I'll resubscribe when this is fixed, or likely when it actually is 5x stronger. I just mostly want it fixed so I can have the actual colors I choose.

Also, 70R4, these only function as heavy armor right now. They have no added strength. The only difference with them, is they are 5x heavier and cost 5x more while adding absolutely nothing else at all other than a broken colorable texture.
Vas 18 aug. 2014 la 2:02
The color doesn't seem to work on all sides. My white blocks are only white on some sides and are grey on the others.
Tora 17 aug. 2014 la 23:54
Wow, now I have to strip all my secondary armor layers and reapply them across 795x120x200 meters of a battlecruiser... First World problems I suppose.

*Request* Is there anyway you can make these default textures for heavy armor? Or a variant thereof, so as people can sort of super heavy stealth fit their ships? I mean, while I was liking jupiter.tux's textures for niche purposes, it doesn't suit some applications.

After a small pilot error maneuvering accident while in test flight and turning the aforementioned BC around to 'dock', I found that my heavy blocks were effectively tissue paper versus asteroids, so this is a very welcome addition to the mod collection I've acquired, thank you!
[DPRK] rhino1998 17 aug. 2014 la 14:40
Wow, these are great for making kinetic torpedos, cause they can withstand basically any ship defense, without being deflected before impacting the armor
Taubiqueur 17 aug. 2014 la 1:50
The lights are not the same on the side of the angle blocks can you fix it please?
duddi 16 aug. 2014 la 1:30
Can you teach me how you made this ? I cant figure out the multy color xml and material from the original game files.
