I'm having the same issue as @Something Stupid. , is there anything wrong on my side? As far as I know I don't have any other addons that replaces the pickup sound. And there's no mention in the console about any missing sounds so idk

If you use the "Half-Life 2 Pickup History" mod, then the pickup sounds will be silent.
