Update for 1.6. In 1.6, "Overhead meals" will still occur in some rare cases, so this mod is effective.

I thought this mod was unnecessary in version 1.5, but it seems that in rare cases the meal is placed overhead (see last screenshot), so this mod is still useful in version 1.5.

Poker cards, cleaning brooms, etc. are certainly annoying issue, but they're not easy to fix. I would like to try it when I really have the time, but it's no guarantee that come true.

If you ever have the time and it's not too much trouble, could you add in poker cards, too? They have the same issue.

@AuntyDonna I looked at the VBE and it seems that the open book is not an entity, but a pseudo effect. it is behaves very differently than eating meals, so not easy to patch it.
I will ask the author. and I borrow your image.

@Balthazad What mod exactly is Furniture+?
Mod tables that don't follow the vanilla table texture's positions can look weird anyway.
As a solution you should try Perspective Building .

this mod needs a patch for the pub tables of Furniture+
when pawns eat on those facing from south to north, foods are placed on the table's massive monoleg

Well, I don't usually leave comments but, it's been a while since I've played this game, really, like a year or two I haven't even touched it. I still find it funny how horrible this game is at sorting layers. This should have been a base game alpha fix.

Added patch for Gastronomy.
At the Gastronomy's dining originally didn't place meal overhead, but the meal not properly positioned on the table, so added a patch to fix.
Now customers will also place their meals properly on the table and eat. (see last screenshot)
