This is making the aftermath of battles have an otherworldly feel.

The bodies of slain warriors, civilians, and animals, their ruined, broken forms scattered across a large area like discarded toys, should not be so beautiful at night.

That the mod has this effect makes such noisome fields of the dead even more horrible to witness and, in my opinion, this works with the themes of Kenshi.

They feed on radiation on bodies and are highly radioactive (no)

this mod makes battlefields look gorgeous after the fighting is over. something certainly artistic in this mod, even if you didnt intend for that.

There are a few mods that change sound effects. So I think turning buzzing corpse flies into chirping or singing crickets is possible. (I cannot do it myself, though.)
Crickets mod would be nice - it would make Kenshi wastelands a little more lively :)

Never need to fret, Your work is already doing something great. What about this thought, I was thinking instead of just muting the fly buzzing replacing it with something more soothing like cricket chirps would be an interesting companion mod to something like this if possible.

Truly though loving it. I find it adds a strange beauty to a field of death that truly befits Kenshi.

Making red or purple firefly effects is possible, but sadly assaining those effects to different races is beyond my ability.

This is actually amazing, and while I do not know if it is possible, the only thing I can imagine that would add to it, is if you could sync it up with something like racial blood and make each type of corpse have a different color of soul fly as I am calling them:)

oh this is pretty, i really like mods like this that reimagine things that are kinda added in as an afterthought. corpse flies were added in more as just an environmental thing thats easily recognized, but making them a glowing fly really adds a fantastical element in a subtle way

This mod reminds me of FFX's pyreflies, really cool!

It's actually really nice in the swamp area, very pretty

Unfortunately, I cannot turn the corpse fireflies ON/OFF by the hour of the day. A possible workaround is using the firefly effect as a part of the weather effects like the Venge beam. But it is merely an idea for now.

Would it be possible for you to only turn it on during the night?

mod of the year? XD i messed around with all sorts like glowing rocks and "mushrooms" that grow and glow, adding fly noise to npc races etc etc, never occurred to me you could change the crappy boring corpse flys into awesome glowing death bugs
