Hi, can someone tell me how to halve the "Experienced scavenger" trait? I want to use this trait for a character mod of mine, but also halved. I could not find the property in the Mod Editor

@oncemore343 Just hit the subscribe button, give it a few moments to download (it will show on your steam downloads for this game), then after loading the game go to the mod manager (at the bottom of the main menu) and enable it. As long as you're subscribed to the mod and it's enabled in the mod manager, the changes the mod makes will take effect in any new or saved games.

Good thing that should be vanilla imo : auto management of windows : opening or closing windows depending on the current indoor and outdoor temperatures to get light when possible or adjust temperature to a reasonable level otherwise

Wish there was a option to disable this part: Increased spawn distance X4 for all enemy waves and removed idle time.

@Makk, I use Jaggid's Game Speed Customizer for that. I upped the Fastest Speed to 10. It goes even higher, but I'm sure there's a major performance hit.

Is there any way to make "time" more realistic in game? Lets say one year should have 200~400days, not just 45. Besides, cutting, crafting and constructing should take much more time, while walking should be faster.

if i play with ur mod the new hope mission, there are no attack waves anymore since u updated the mod, i tried new games and still no attack waves. started without ur mod and the attack waves are back :P

Ah yes...I think I can remedy that pretty quickly. I remember having to toggle visibility on listed resources when I first created the mod. Thanks for mentioning it. I'll try to push a fix tonight. It's just cosmetic. Is everything else functionally working? I did a brief playtest earlier and things seemed fine.

Minor snafu, but the mod is causing two entries for some resources to appear on the top bar. Scap metal, logs, and hay are the ones I noticed.

Sweet thx for the update. Still seems to be an issue however. When trying to restrict food, item, ect usage in the character sheet you can only choose the 2 top levels. Example if I pick Cooked food / Other that is the furthest you can pick from. You can't actually choose anything from within the "Other" category. This seems to follow with the other categories as well. I did quickly try and force eat but the option didn't pop up. I didnt keep going tho to see if they would eat on there own however.

That's super helpful. Thank you, Rothana. I was already 3/4 of the way through rebuilding everything from scratch and noticed the tag while doing so, but your feedback gave me the assurance that my efforts won't be wasted. The update should be uploaded soon. :)

The eating thing is likely not unique to your mod as someone created this to fix the issue:

This mod fixes the issue where units refuse to consume resources if mods with consumables are used. All mods with consumable resources can be fixed by adding "Consumable" tag.

Thank you for all of the reports. That helps me put my finger on it a little. I can't promise that I'll have it ready by tonight as I was hoping (just got home and am a wee bit tired.) I do intend on diving back in and reconstructing from scratch tomorrow though. Thanks folks.

Will simply just add that I also have the same issue with eating. I noticed if you check the restrictions on each characters sheet that it doesn't show anything when you try checking the sub-category. Not just food but meds, food, entertainment, ect all dont show anything. Hope this helps.

Only issue I can find is the no eating problem. But, looks like you are already working on the problem.

Just an FYI, this mod is currently causing issues with the new DLC. New DLC Items didn't appear in the lower hot bar and my animals stopped eating from their troughs until I disabled the mod. Hope this helps.

FWIW: It looks like if I copy the ShootingTarget.lua and PunchingPole.lua from the Buildings directory in your mod to the same directory in the other mods, the Immortal mods work. I still have to update the values in the .lua files but that's easy.
What's surprising is that the information in the items.lua file doesn't seem to matter. At any rate it doesn't seem to be necessary to update any of that information.

It can all be done in the mod editor. I don't feel like my mod comments is a good forum for troubleshooting issues you're having with another mod, so I'd recommend checking out the official discord. There's a mod channel that I'm sure you can get help with the basics.

Sorry, I'm not quite following that. You deleted old entries for the items from your mod? How did you subsequently get the new versions loaded? Is this something that can be done with the game's built-in mod editor, or does it require more extensive tools or knowledge?

I simply deleted the old entries I had made and reloaded the current version's. I then redid my resistances and voila.

It looks like I'm going to need to hack the Immortal Shooting Target mod to get it working, as the author has indicated that he doesn't expect to have time to fix it any time soon. If you can tell me what you did, I'll bet that I can do the same thing to fix his mod via the mod editor. I am assuming both mods broke in the same way.

Since the jungle update, survivors no longer use the shooting target, and I am unable to command them to do so.

Tested and confirmed that it is specific to this mod.

This appears to be because the mod modifies the target, and that's somehow incompatible with the update. I also use Immortal Shooting Target and it ALSO causes the same issue, independently of your mod.

Cool thx. Playing with the modified Ken just felt right.

FWIW I actually have a lot of trouble keeping Ken happy. I guess that will change as I get further into the game and have more enemies for him to kill. I haven’t managed to get past day 30 because various things coming up. First time I had to restart because I wasn’t ready for winter. Then this whole “one bug army” thing came up.

No, he didn’t. His interest in physical made sense for the character. (Crafting never did). That one change was my main reason for using the mod.

I'm glad you resolved the issue. You shouldn't have had to completely reinstall the game, but either way I'm glad you sorted it. As far as my nerf for Ken, if you're honest with yourself, he needed it. ;) Originally he had two interests with no indifferent, a very strong scavenging trait, and a super helpful happiness on deaths trait. He needed a downside bad, but instead of giving him a bad negative trait, I just nerfed his skills a wee bit. Believe me, he's still very good.

OK, now I'm really confused.


I restarted the map - same result, 1 bug on day 6.

So I removed all the mods, uninstalled the game, reinstalled, then subscribed to this mod only.

Started a new game with the exact same parameters, and this time I got 8 bugs on day 6.

HOWEVER, I now find that Ken has lost his "interested" in physical. With the mod off, Ken has two interests, combat and crafting. With the mod on, Ken has interest in combat, and that's it.

Note that in my previous start, the one that was bugged by singular spawns, Ken was correctly interested in both combat and physical.

I notice there's been a main game update in the last couple of days. Maybe that's it??


Hopefully we can figure this out. I'd like to start a new game, but I want to use Ken and I'd rather not have him be crippled.

I don't know what to tell ya. The test I did with same difficulty/moon/seed had 21 bugs spawn on the 6th day. There is a random element in spawn waves, but getting a wave of 1 repeatedly sounds wrong. You could try unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod. Maybe something got corrupted in your download? I'm really at a loss.
