Well, they float but don’t move, so in a flowing stream it will look strange unless it is something “at anchor”

Yes, exactly.

To make the light I used an all-white illumination map and a short spotlight, but I did not have to do anything to the asset for it to float, since I used the floating kayak to start

Is it easy to create floating assets if you have parklife? (Like, just select the kayak template you mentioned, and your asset will float) Without it it seems to be failrly complicated (nested asset, mod tools and scripts etc).
