Can you create a mod for tameable hummingflys?

These creatures are not in the desertarium. I found a seed I really like and the glytches are not anywhere and no jelly is it possible to add them to that map? I'm not sure how modding works but maybe I should look into it to get a better understanding of how it does work.

mushrooms? their taming food is sweet syrup and they should be able to eat any herbivore foods like hay or whatever.

I cant tame them. I can't even use the Mushrooms, I can grow them, harvest them but it will not let me use them to eat, craft , feed or store them. . When I tell it to load the mushrooms into the feed bins it loads laser pikes. Has anyone else had this glitch .
