it doesnt, they just figure as if they were installed, but they arent, this is because the addon requires some files to work in those campaigns

An excellent alternative to this mod is to NOT replace the L4D2 weapon animations (chrome, ak, scar, etc) and NOT replace the sounds either (although that one isn't as bad)

ohh that's how, was just wondering since i recently played the "short" maps such as "short air, short harvest, short toll" and thought "huh i thought this mod would work for them"

basically in the mods folder there is a folder called missions and in each one there is info in each campaign, that way it is applied only to those ones. I put the default l4d1 campaigns alongside some of the more known l4d1 based custom maps

question... what is the trigger that makes the campaigns start sing these custom animations?

the animations work on the official L4D1 maps

but when i tried to play on "short air, Short Harvest and Short Toll" which are "shorter" versions of those official maps, they would just use the default L4D2 animations.

is there like a config or something that is needed when making a map to define it as "left 4 dead 1" or something?

i really like this mod, but the mods used to replace the weapons are incredibly outdated, if you want or even can I've complied a list of much better and in date l4d1 mods that could be used instead of the ones used here: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2982158808

yeah it's just so the L4D2 weapons don't occupy half of the screen, i can't use them both at the same time or else the l4d1 weapons don't work

may i request this exact same mod BUT replace the l4d2 weapons with the "Overhauling the classic" ones? (the animation/alignment/position of the weapons)
