make a compound crossbow mod pls <3

This mod is outdated. It was created long before the crossbow found into the vanilla game. Anyone can repack and rework the mod if something is still needed.

Dead.Fox, the vanilla crossbow is a bit crap and players still greatly prefer this. Any chance you could update the .p3d and animation to support the load/unload bow changes implemented in the crossbow added in 1.21 (so the bow cable shows an unloaded and loaded state vs currently its in a constant state of loaded/primed/pulled back etc). Cheers.

I agree with HPYBMBS, I can't see DayZ devs making a quiver to go with their new addition but the belt quiver from your mod would be highly sort after if it could be made to work with the new bolts. Great mod and thank you for the work put into it.

The mod will become obsolete in almost all features. Maybe I will make the Crossbow models parallel compatible. Likewise the belts.

At the start of 1.21 I recommend not using this mod. Also in my community like this first completely replaced by vanilla. If everything goes well, I'll deal with this.

Hi there, once 1.21 crossbows are added, do you think you'd separate out the leather 'belt slot' quiver from this mod and make it compatible with the vanilla bolts? I could see this being something every modded server out there adding. Great work by the way! Thanks

Brilliant mod, thank you. This weapon is basically Meta on my Server replacing the MKII as the stealthier weapon of choice. To offer some feedback, the 4 slot quiver needs to be removed from the XBow to be reloaded. The Red Dot Optic is inconsistent, usually restarting my client fixes that. And lastly, adding some sort of gravity so that when bolts are picked up that they would prefer to go back into the quiver vs just the back pack. Again, brilliant mod, one of my top favs..

Also, the red point optic lacks the red dot for me.

Hi, an amazing mod! One question, though, how is the reloading supposed to work? Is it possible to use the quiver to load the crossbow? Or do I have to use individual arrows in quick bar slots? Because for me, none of the quivers allows reloading the crossbow.

Can you tell me the name of the Assets mod, in the first version it was called GDZ_Crossbow_Asset. Needed for Zen Virus mod

Some feedback for you. Ammo_Crossbow2_ArrowBolt & Ammo_Crossbow2_ArrowBolt2 have the same description in english. As Crossbow2_ArrowBolt2 is not the crafted one, should it not have a different description to reflect this? Maybe something like "A light weight and precise Crossbow Bolt, suitable for target shooting and small game hunting" or something similar.

To answer my own question and to help others, yes you can do it in cfgspawnabletypes.xml just add the following

This will mean each of the small black quivers will have at least two bolts and a 50% chance of another two. For the larger brown quiver Crossbow2_Quiver2 just copy and paste the above, but change the type name to Crossbow2_Quiver2 and that can hold 16 bolts so copy and paste some more attachments and change the chance to suit your needs

The Quivers spawn without any bolts in them even if I change the <quantmin> & <quantmax>. It would be nice if you could find them with a random amount of bolts in. Could I use cfgspawnabletypes.xml to add some bolts?

Is there a way to make it have less damage? it feels OP, It is more potent than a 45 cal . Perhaps add more shock and cut damage rather than health? just a suggestion.

Hi Zen, I checked this, but it doesn't really work, at least when you're crawling or lying down

For anyone curious, adding the "Hips" attachment to the large quiver (Crossbow2_Quiver2) allows the quiver to be worn in the belt slot and it looks acceptable on the player model which is interesting for anyone who wants to add that ability!

Gives some real robin hood vibes lol. It's not perfect but it doesn't look as stupid as I thought it might, fits well to the player's hip.
