This does not fit sniper at all

There exist about 2 or 3 Safety Vests for Engi out there made by other people. Unfortuantly none of those has been added.

I would also like to point out that I made this in part because I found the idea of a sniper wearing high-vis gear extremely funny

I always feel like the 'doesn't fit the character' critique is something people take way too seriously, especially in a videogame where all the characters are essentially cultural caricatures from the 1950s. The Sniper, especially, is a very cut & paste Australian stereotype, but it's the way he's portrayed that makes him memorable & unique.

Granted, like all the other characters in TF2, they're all very over the top in their depictions, and because they're inspired by such broad stereotypes, that leaves room for artistic leway with cosmetics. Dressing Sniper up like a construction worker really is not as absurd as it sounds, especially when you compare the sorta stuff you see in videogames like CoD and their playerskins.

It's not about class recognition, it's about the fact that sniper shouldn't be wearing a high-vis vest because it's out of character. The concept is fine if you want to stick it on engi, especially since he doesn't actually have a high-vis vest somehow.

Anytime I see anyone complain about class recognition in the comments, they're always completely wrong with their logic: giving Heavy a pinstripe suit isn't going to automatically make the largest class in the game suddenly look like Spy, the smallest class in the game, nor is slapping a high-vis jacket onto Sniper suddenly going to confuse players for the class who usually wears dark overalls.

I don't get why that guy is even complaining about class individuality. Nothing about this will remotely make players from a distance confuse Sniper for Engineer. They both have different class profiles, height, and stances, and one is carrying a Sniper Rifle while the other doesn't. Plus, he's wearing a highly visible construction vest for god's sake, not a pair of dull overalls that covers his legs and half his torso. Maybe he just sees the hard hat and immediately thinks, "AAAAAA IT'S ENGINEER, IT'S LITERALLY ENGINEER FOR ANOTHER CLASS, STOP DESTROYING BASIC CLASS RECOGNITION!"

I almost made something like this but then decided against it because I thought it woudn't of made much sense

The sniper's vest is not team-colored. This actually makes him MORE team-colored since it's orange on RED and yellow on BLU
