This is such a laughably weak character even in gold mode compared to the base cast, it does look cool though but very weak

@CrashV Okay, let's go. I really like mode-based playstyle characters, and seriously, Kannon is by far my favorite, ever since I started playing with mod characters. Anyway I still think it has a lot of negatives; any of its forms are disabled once you are hit; the serious mode takes a long time to activate (and deactivate), or it costs a SUPER bar to be activated "instantly" and as before, it is deactivated when it is hit; In addition, its moveset, although fast, has no range at all; the "portal" of calm mode needing to be activated in order to have its attacks makes any attack a major threat before the Kannon actually has a chance to defend or counterattack; the calm mode with portal activated still doesn't manage to do much, considering that its mobility is not a valid option against DI, and its scarcity of attacks makes a maximum of two options viable in most situations; the balanced mode has an exaggeratedly high price, needing to have 6 SUPER bars, 30% health, and charged burst

All of this, along with the fact that the current Kannon doesn't have a good aggressive or defensive ability to worry about getting SUPER, makes balanced mode unviable, not to mention the HP cost over time; Kannon doesn't even have an initiative attack or block break, not even more specials or supers; Overall, Kannon has very few options in all modes, however, each mode has a huge amount of weaknesses, making it vulnerable at almost all times. I don't know if that's too much to ask, but I'd really love to see a big update/rework (I even have a few ideas). Anyway, I wanted to make it clear that I really loved and love your work with Kannon, the animations, ideas, art, playstyle, it's all really cool. Thank you for your attention.

@fenrisulfr he’s not planning on updating him. He’s gonna just reboot him later. And as for guard breaking, his attacks are dynamic enough that I can just chip and use block advantage to get around defensive players.

also either remove or lower the tick damage for balace because if your opponent isnt below half sometimes even more the tick damage will kill you by the time you can kill them atleast for me

Super interesting character and good fun too! I love the feel of both Delinquent and Kannon, and their novelty is refreshing. Can't wait to see what characters CrashV makes next!

This character is amazing. The niche range of his stance moves needs a little getting used too, but once you do it is an awesome versatile fighter.

i love playing this character for real, but i also love using extreme turbo mode when just dicking around in singleplayer. the entirety of his arsenal all at once actually poses an incredibly powerful force, and it's completely different to play than any of the other modded characters i've ran with extreme turbo mode. super great mod

this guy is so friggin fun, i just wish he has more moves

@Drakath i appreciate that sometimes i feel like people just want op chars lol

So far only times i lost with this chars is if he runs into really bad or unbalanced matchups which is kinda fair, knowing his limitation and adapt to his playstyle is kinda what i love about him. Getting into Serious/Golden mode is rewards in itself, beating opponents with Calm mode is even funnier.

so all barrage moves got buffed in one of the updates but i didnt update kannon to change that so the barrage is stupid strong

why does barrage deal like half the health of every character

So far, I feel like Kannon has some of the best potential to feel like an honest, fun character. Biggest problem is his limited access to his Stance form. Slow start up and he is potentially already defeated in a match if the opponent manages to catch him in a combo, before he is able to do anything himself.

I do like the idea that he needs to be more defensive in his Calm form, but in that case, more work needs to be done.

why doesnt kannon work anymore?

This is super fun but It needs to be easier to reach balance,

needs so many changes and more moves maybe I'm not sure on that but def needs current moves to be more versatile for how hard it can be to actually gain access to them

Not very fun to play tbh, his kit is just being gatekept by frames and meter charge. Need a very hard read to land anything and get into your other modes and reward isn't there really.

Del i agree but remember the only reason he can be hit out of those stances is because i was/ am and inadequate at coding lol.
