For some reason in the adventure mode (in beta currently) these guys count as having double the limbs sometimes. Is that normal?

So the bunnies only use wheelbarrows to haul things if the things way more than 75. Most wood logs, at least in my biome, weigh significantly less than 75. However, the bunnies being so weak means it takes them forever to haul wood around, because they refuse to use the wheelbarrows.

Any way to fix this?

Thank you! The "images/lapine_BONE_PILE.png" line in the title file is still causing crashes due to capitals, but everything else looks good!

This was crashing at world gen for me on the new linux version. In this case, the crash was being caused by the filenames in "graphics/images" not being the same case as was being referenced in the "tile_page_lapine.txt" file. In linux, LAPINE_armor and lapine_armor are two different files so the references weren't lining up causing a crash. Another case of linux being difficult haha.

I know the linux version won't be as popular as the regular windows version, but I think this is worth fixing. I really enjoy bnuuy.

Ah I see, I will have to try this updated version then since I was having all kinds of problems not being able to load traps. I don't see a need to make them vegetarians though knowing rabbits while not all the time do sometimes eat their babies. ^^; I do though usually not give them meat when I was using them prior.

@Arcanua my bad, I removed the "trapper" permitted job when I was messing around with trying to make them vegetarian, which you can't do yet, which is weird because there is a "carnivore" tag, but no veggie tag, anyway It should be fixed, thanks!

I love these guys! But they basically take over my fortresses, I end up with like a 4>1 ratio of Lapin to Dwarf. Which is funny for a Dwarf fortress. They constantly show up to be soldiers though so that's super cool!

Not sure what's going on but, I cannot get these guys to ever FILL cage traps. They will build them no problems but they never fill them, no amount of adjustment is fixing it either I waited two whole seasons with them supposedly only able to fill them and they just never do.

oooo can't wait to try this mod, more hype thanks to FFXIV making vieras for both sexes and this can let me at least have a rabbit like race, just needs me a way to dig into a moon or such since the tale of the moon rabbit is a nice one and just gives me even more silly ideas xD

@Leeeeex It is vanilla behavior that the first two migrant waves are never affected by wealth and that the first winter never has migrants.

Unsure if this is related to the mod or if it's because of something I did in DF (as I'm sure it goes with modding it) but I'm not getting migrants past the second wave, and the two first waves don't appear to be scaled with wealth at all. I know I settled somewhere accessible to at least my selected faction's existing Lapine settlements. Is this normal for the race's settings?

@Certified_dumb_bitch I put their strength as "below average" according to the wiki [dwarffortresswiki.org] ([PHYS_ATT_RANGE:STRENGTH:150:600:800:900:1000:1100:1500]) and havn't had any problems with them wearing full metal armor.

Starting up a world for this right now but curious about the balance. Planning to try out more leather armor on outfits if it becomes an issue, but do you know if the buns are capable of wearing and wielding metal arms and armor with their average strength, at least without slowing to a crawl?

Pointed this mod out to my boyfriend and his response was "Oh, so it makes sense that they still burrow." Now they do make sense as a replacement for dwarves lol.

Love this mod, it's very fun seeing the very Watership Down-y names popping up when buns are visiting, and they're fun to play with for a nice change of civ pace. The graphics are adorable too, good job!

Oh I see, I didn't think about mod compatibility. I managed to get replacing vanilla sprites to work, sorry, it was a lot easier than i thought, I have uploaded a second "light" version of the mod only replacing dwarf sprites if anyone is interested.

Yeah I'm still learning this game so i don't want break or add vanilla for a bit, that's why im ask how to replacing sprite. cause when somethings are change(even if it's just name) that means I can't find info easily. But yeah still I really want to play with those lapine race so when I'm ready to active mods I'll add this mod first :3 thx for the answer

@Spontaneite Custom races don't "break" those things per-se, it's just that those mods apply their new workshops and reactions through an entity patch to the Dwarf civilization. One can either copy the contents of such patches: everything under [SELECT_ENTITY:MOUNTAIN] to the race mod's entity file, or one can add [SELECT_ENTITY:CUNICULUS] (in this race's case) to those mods' entity patches and then simply copy everything under [SELECT_ENTITY:MOUNTAIN] and place it under [SELECT_ENTITY:CUNICULUS] as well. It's true that either way would be some work though, and it would likely be easier to keep track of these sorts of edits as their own mods, placed below both the race and reaction/building mod in the load order. I might upload some entity patch mods for custom races in the future once I've finished up my next VWO version, since I was planning on doing that stuff for my next mod list anyway.

I understand the desire for a sprite only swap, given playing with custom race mods like this can break a lot of mods that add stuff e.g. custom workshops, new reactions in vanilla workshops, etc. These sprites are lovely, I wouldn't mind a replacer myself if you ever figure that one out <3

@Gim_Haromaker sorry, I'm not too sure how you would go about replacing vanilla sprites with a mod, but the bunnies play exactly the same, the only things really changed other than sprites are their attributes, behaviours, religion, etc.

Your info.txt file for the mod has the earlist_compatible set to 5001 which is needless to say far higher than 50.01 for DF or 1.01 for the mod itself.

From what I could find the SCRATCH issue is actually a result of SCRATCH trying to use finger nails but the Buns not having fingernails defined, you gave them toenails but no fingernails when setting up the TISSUE_LAYERS

The language file issue is just a small typo YOR is meant to be YORE I believe, at least referencing vanilla language files

The graphics error I believe is because the filename listed for the iron spear sprite is: FFS rather than lapine_wieldables, which seems to have the rest of the spear sprites?

Overall btw I love how adorable this mod is and I don't mean to sound condescending or anything of the sort in reporting these or what I think are the fixes/issues. I hope they end up helpful at least

So on loading your mod there are a few minor errors in the error log and I figured id just let you know 1. That they exist, and 2, what they are specifically to save you any headache finding them.
