Weird, the opposite happened to me, I was playing the default version when the crashes happened, but now that I'm in the beta it plays fine. Haven't tried this map however

@time waster Get out of x64 chrominum beta it is broken. It'll also affect this map and many others. Play on the default version. It is what it is, take it or leave it unfortunately.

Hello, this comment is meant to be read by the creator of Abstraction Extended, I'm sorry to talk about it here but the comments on that map were disabled. There is a crash on all versions of the map, if you go on the middle or right portals it crashes and if you go on the left portal you will be teleported to a platform wich will also crash if you turn around. Again, sorry to bother you with another map

ahhhh it was from a game yes, but I do not remember exacly.. if you enter snd_show in the console im sure the sound file with its name will make it easy to identify

Good idea and done. Yes, the beta branch has affected other of Nita's maps such as Abstraction Extended and others by different authors.

Beta branch does appear to be the issue on reinstall. Might want to put that in the description for the time being.

Ok Ive launched the game and checked it out. Everything is fine on my end, the water I've made it a custom .vmt material with its own textures so it cannt be an addon overriding it in any way. So what I'm suspecting is the beta branch, are by any chances you two in x64 chrominum? Also make sure you both ahve mat_specular 1 (enabled)

Water is an opaque blue. Tested with only map and content packs installed.

Can't say i do honestly im gonna look through one of these days n see i might try to uninstall then reinstall the add-ons for the map

Oh hmm. Do you have any custom water addons? Im curious to see What it is. Maybe i can do an update too and add compatibility to it

Small update... it didnt work my theory is that its a comflicting mod but i have too many to know what

i was actually gonna give an update on the issue. at the time of writing this i wanted to let you know that i found out this is happen on the island resort map as well which is dependent on the same content pack im not gonna change my load order as this started when i had an issue with Enchaced camera 2 but i fixed that. if nothing happens then i probably just SOL. i will give a heads up if that fixes it. Also i didnt install the Ph map cus i didnt need it really i dont pla prop hunt

There are 2 same maps. This one edited by me with permisson by its author I've changed the water yes, but it is still transparent and it can refract, only the reflections are baked in cubemaps for a significant FPS boost. The other one which starts with "ph_" is the original untouched and that one might have the issue you are commenting where it loses both transparency and refraction the mentioned plastic look

Hey so Idk if anyone else is having this issue (it could be another mod im not sure)
but im having an issue where it seems the water looks like plastic theres 0 transparency you cannot see through it at all it seems it only happens on this map

I can though it'll be a very extensive proccess, of doing the adaptation of the soundscapes from day time to night.

For now alternatively you have a rain + storm variant w/lightning public on my workshop. Else, there are a lot of cool weather addons which do night/day time cycle.

There's a Bit of a texture Glitch where the Water fall in the Cave and the Jacuzzi appear Static and frozen. All I Know it's that it's Not caused by Any Addons...

It requires a lot of content but its worth it for how cozy and pretty it is! I just wish there was a night version too.

This map is legitimately breathtaking! The sandbox adaptation is much appreciated, and kudos the original author.

i cant find the gma for gm_resortmadness

head to garrysmod/bin and locate gmad.exe, you should have a .gma file, drag and drop it onto gmad.exe and it'll output a folder with the addon name with all of the content inside, materials models sounds.

Yes it is possible, but you're going to have to mount them yourself, including downloading and extracting. Unfortunately I dont know how mounting content to hammer++ works because Im with the regular version of hammer for now.
