1. There is no point making it better. If you do it wrong, you'll only waste last piece of energy that barely regenerates.
2. Even if it becomes slightly better - why does it matter as it can always just crumble back down. Some attempts are bound to fail and you cannot foresee it regardless to how smart you are. Some things are just bigger than you.
3. Life has no value, so nothing you do actually worth anything, neither for you, nor to people around you. Positive mentality doesn't work if there is no positive feedback.
P.S. I'm not a carrier of such mentality, but I just couldn't resist not to explain you why "then just make it better" is not somehow magically bound to work
