Mind you if you choose to go through with doing a tf2 textured gm_bigcity map I have gone over a lot of the textures of the original map and made them somewhat tf2 styled that I can give you if you're interested.

So the creator of 'gm_bigcity' 'bigwig' hasn't bothered replying to where my request is just buried under many others. So spite the other people who put up different versions of bigwig's map up I don't think bigwig gave permission but don't seem to really cares either.

I'm pretty sure people haven't bothered asking about it when they make their versions of it as the creator can always ask to have it taken down. This all being said I left a request on the creator's map just waiting for a reply.
