I'm aware it crashes, but it's not a small task to update and I have quite a few of these kinds of mods. I'll get to it eventually but it can take time.
You should still be able to use the skins, just make sure you have the proper outfit selected before enabling the mod and avoid the outfit selection at tailor.
And of course animations for weapons from teh new DLC will be missing.
You then need to start a new run from the mentu (custom or normal mode, just not the "continue") option. And it will show you a screen with all the mods you are subscribed to.
