I just tested it and can confirm that this mod will break your game.

The mod will:
Remove the cassette tape option from your car menu.
Deftones tapes won't play at all.
You won't be able to take out batteries from your boomboxes.

In my testing I was running:
true music, it's lib and it's multiplayer lib.

As soon as I added this addon, the car menu broke and boombox battery swap broke.
As soon as I removed it - the car menu and boombox were fixed.
When I tried to do the same but with the Nirvana addon - everything worked fine.

@Jackson Frost you made a problem with your files that you pasted Old True Music Core files into C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2912856058\mods\True Music Deftones\media\lua\server
Its overwriting the original true music mod. Anyone who has this problem delete these 4 files named:
TCExtra.lua
TCModData.lua
TCMusicPlay.LUA
TCServerCommands.lua
In workshop and mods folder.

B41, I have a few clothing mods, advanced trajectory, common sense, just throw them out the window, better sorting, true actions, tsars lib 2.0, TCCache, true music and this

I have been trying to get this add-on to work for a while and it just wont. i can find the tapes but they wont actually play any music when I put them in a player.

@zyrax if you cant find any cassettes uninstall my mod and then download it again
keep in mind that you must download all additional mods: Tsars Common Library 2.0, True Music and TCCacheMP.

im struggling with finding the cassettes. they have very little spawnrate i assume. how can i increase it?

At the moment I cant tell you if this mod will be compatible with build 42, because the author of the original mod (True Music) is afk now and it hasn't been updated since feb 2023. He does not even answer questions on the mod page.
I hope he's just waiting for b42 to become more stable to update True Music.
Ill stay tuned to for any news from the author and notify you if something will happen.

@AzraelAOD make sure that you downloaded all additional mods. U can also try to delete all True Music mods and install them again

Hey, I dont know if anyone else has had this issue yet, but I'm not able to insert any cassette from this mod into the cassette player. My load order is correct and I'm using a couple other mods for music addons, but none of them have any deftones songs except this one.

@Snake Plissken I`m going to update this mod next month. 20+ Deftones songs will be added and i will also try to add their entire discography and demo/unreleased songs in the future updates.
BTWsize of the mod will be reduces cause I found the way to compress songs with almost no quality loses

Also is it possible to compress the files any further for dedicated server use and stability?

Thank you for this, Deftones while surviving in post-apocalyptic Kentucky goes hard.

I think what sucks about the game's setting is that technically this mod isn't lore friendly, because all of Deftone's music was released after 1994. I'm still going to use this mod and continue listening to Deftones though, because they're awesome.

i use the slipknot one and it works just fine, so it works with true music mods
this one just doesn't for some reason - not saying its your fault

@Skully you should check if your mod pack incompatible with True Music mods

This is impossible. Make sure you installed all of required mods (True Music, Tsar Common Library).
Another option: unsubscribe True Music, Tsar Common Library and my mod (you should also delete all files of these mods in workshop steam folder) then subscribe it again.

@patrick , Ive checked that and they spawn in the spots like bookshelves, desks and etc
At least you can spawn all of these tapes by creative menu

they dont appear anywhere on the map

Does this play when you turn the radio on? Or is it just background music?
