Actually, better yet: why not combine the two textures into one so that everything's textured as it should be (since the closed version's texture is black inside).

Just so you know: there's a better texture for the CS:S chest that doesn't have the baked-in shadow on it (on the "closed" version of the original model).

Wasn't this chest used in Half-Life 2 Episode 2? Oddly enough, I remember it better from Episode 2 than the recent two installments.
