You forgot to mention in the description whether they mate like mammals or lay eggs and thus require nest boxes.

I switched up my mods list and one of the ones I excluded must've been the problem.
they keep changing into something else
Ketra 2024
Okay thanks for the info! :)

@Kifyi
They are fully grown at age 2, and start growing old at age 30 with a maximum age of 55.
Ketra 2024
These guys are such cuties. Are they immortal like dragons or can they die of old?

adorable creature
Two things: I love this mod, really enjoy these cuties walking around the fort.

Second, for anyone concerned, grown dragons kill these just as quickly as everything else.
Ya Boi Sheev 2023
Dragons are absurdly big if they're grown. But the young ones can be as smol as a fox. If you are lucky enough to have two dragons mate in world gen their children are so easy to kill from how tiny they are it's like watching them walk into a grinder one by one.
Dragons are definitely glass cannons as far as worldgen is concerned, I doubt your mod is making it worse, wyrms are probably more likely to come into contact with them for whatever reason.
That's really weird, because a dragon is 25 times the size of one of these and breathes fire.
These keep killing dragons on worldgen, which seems kind of appropriate. Nothing game breaking, don't worry. Just thought you might be amused to hear it.

HAHAHA DRAKES, oh my god that's funny
@kakarot Yes.
it sounds like a perfect candidate for combat training... can it be combat trained?
@harper.buonanno Yes. Assign them to a pen with access to boxes and they should breed.
Will they reproduce if given a nest box, mate and time?
@DEADL3AD it can be found underground, as well as any swamp or marsh.
can this creature appear as wild or be found instead of just embarking with it?
That's great! Thanks!
@Ostrich-Hungry This should be compatible with every mod that doesn't delete vanilla body plans as it relies on one that's defined there. If these mods do mess with vanilla bodies I can make a compatible self-contained version, but if vanilla animals work in those mods it should be fine.
Really nice! I know this is an annoying question, but do you know about compatibility with larger mods?
I know, for example, that "Additional Races" mods break your save with Dark Ages or Genesis.
Oh cool, and I approve them being pricey, will also carry over to trade when you have a booming fort economy going. I'll try and get some on embark and seeing how they turn out for price/value balance in terms of eggs and having a cute little killing machine in my roster. With my current mods I'm usually trying to bring a breeding pair of elephants anyway, so hopefully I can afford just to swap those out.
@Llamageddon They're available at embark so you can choose them, though they're somewhat pricey.

@OptimusPrimordial They should use nest boxes just like other egg-layers. You could eat the eggs, too, but they certainly aren't something you could sustain a fort with.
Can they lay eggs in nest boxes though?
Subscribed, hope I get a chance to see one in action. I like the thought you've put into the lore and the details mentioned in the description. Are they available as an exotic pet or do you consider them too feral for that?
