How do you access the .txt files?
ettore.bilbo  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2023 kl. 10:13
Tiber Septim, build is not a problem, I tried with 1960 and it works.

other possible problems are the ones I have already written above in the description:

This mod doesn't work if for some reason the milky way ID changes, but if I understand correctly the General relativity update should fix this.
However just check that the name of the procedural stars in the milky way starts with RS 8513.
Another problem occurs if some star generation parameters have been changed in the SpaceEngine main configuration file. in this case a completely different universe is generated.
One or two of the planets I found are from a mod that add stars from gaia catalog, in this case is normal that you can't find them.

Don't know why, but none of the name ever appeared in search, neither in 1940 nor 1960, any suggesstion?

to tell the truth, for the moment I only tried the 1950 beta on a pc with win 7 to see if it still managed to start, but I couldn't start the program and went back to 1940.
I didn't install the beta on my other win 11 pc, so I don't know the answer to your question.
I don't think there is any problem though...
If anyone has already tried it let me know. in case of problems I will install the beta on the other computer to solve any problems...

What about 1950 beta version?
ettore.bilbo  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2023 kl. 5:08

morningstar 29. mar. 2023 kl. 18:07

@jcastan0
you mean: how to find the mod files and list.txt file?
you must use your computer's file browser to navigate to the Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\314650 folder
where the steam folder is located depends on your computer and where you installed it (usually under c:\program files)...
jcastan0 12. feb. 2023 kl. 6:33
how do you get into the steamapps thing that you're saying I should get into?

Demiurge 22. dec. 2022 kl. 13:50
Well I reinstalled it. Don't know how or why I had a different universe, but now it's back to vanilla. I can find your planets now :snaggletooth:
ettore.bilbo  [ophavsmand] 21. dec. 2022 kl. 13:11
demiurge,
if you searched for the star by entering the ID and didn't find anything then the only thing I can think of is that your universe is different.
Did you happen to change any values in the main-def.cfg file?

try searching this:
RS 8513-928-7-723111-592
it should be a star with an earth like in position 4, if not then surely your universe is not vanilla anymore!
Demiurge 21. dec. 2022 kl. 12:58
but thats just the thing. I have them in the config folder. My galaxy is RS 8513. However, when I search for them by name, I get nothing. I even tried their star name. Still nothing.

Ps there's no need to unsubscribe rodrigo.

Demiurge.
this mod simply adds a name to procedural planets that you wouldn't otherwise find easily...
once installed you have to open the search menu with the f3 key and write the name of the planet you want to search for. (the file list. txt contains the name of all the planets that I have found. some names are followed by *. that must also be typed, it is used to distinguish them from the name of asteroids in our solar system).
This mod doesn't work if for some reason the milky way ID changes, but if I understand correctly the General relativity update should fix this.
however just check that the name of the procedural stars in the milky way starts with RS 8513.
another problem occurs if some star generation parameters have been changed in the SpaceEngine main configuration file. in this case a completely different universe is generated.
ettore.bilbo  [ophavsmand] 20. dec. 2022 kl. 23:30
Ceruleanjove. F3 menù is the only way to find these planets. You have to search for them by names listed in file.
This work for you? I'm not sure I understand from your message.

One or two of the planets I found are from a mod that add stars from gaia catalog, in this case is normal that you can't find them
Ceruleanᴶᵒᵛᵉ 20. dec. 2022 kl. 20:52
Playing without any mods, dropped all the "discoveries-" files into the config folder, deleted the cache folder after unsubbing from Rodrigo's mod just in case that might've had anything to do with it, but I still can't find any of the planets in the list.txt. I was only able to find the first planet, Potala, under its star's name of "HIP 83107". It was renamed to Potala and shows your pioneer name and discovery date, and can be selected by entering its name in the F3 menu after finding it, and as I'm typing this I'm finding that suddenly other planets don't show up in the list but can be selected by typing their names into the F3 menu and hitting enter. This doesn't seem to work for all of them, namely Chiba so far
Demiurge 20. dec. 2022 kl. 19:18
lol sorry, bad day. Pretty please with sugar on top?
ettore.bilbo  [ophavsmand] 20. dec. 2022 kl. 14:25
I was actually replying to you, but you know what? Try again with a please...
Demiurge 20. dec. 2022 kl. 13:59
no response yet? hello?
Demiurge 19. dec. 2022 kl. 14:48
this is frustrating. Not properly explained exactly how to get this to work. I did the regular workshop sub, made sure its ticked on in the addons when launching the game, Nothing in locations, nothing when trying to search for the planet names manually. Tried to put the files myself in the config folder, still nothing. It shouldn't be this hard to get a mod to work..
Demiurge 19. dec. 2022 kl. 14:24
so will this work as normal workshop item, sub and go, or do i need to manually put all the files in my config folder?
ettore.bilbo  [ophavsmand] 19. dec. 2022 kl. 2:04
Space Engine.zip+exe
It's only a list of planets that I shared, you can do whatever you like with it :-D
Demiurge 18. dec. 2022 kl. 12:49
these work with gr?
IC_1101_IC 18. dec. 2022 kl. 8:11
Are these worlds, like free to use? like can I record them? or do I have to give you credit for the discovery (Or whoever discovered these originally)
ettore.bilbo  [ophavsmand] 17. dec. 2022 kl. 10:29
This should be working with GR...
IC_1101_IC 17. dec. 2022 kl. 8:22
When are you going to update for GR? (General relativity)
